Default Heater hose mod on a drag car?

I have the axle out of my car right now and my new 9" is almost ready to go in.

While I have the springs out, should I do the heater hose mod? I don't care about lowering the rear for looks, but if it helps the car from a drag racing standpoint I'd do it.

So should I bother?

I'm running a 28" tire and the rear set pretty high. Removed the isolator and it still had a gap between the tire. Took the first coil off and after the car settled, it set perfect imo. Mines not a " drag car " but I track it quite a but. Car did cut a better 60' once I got the car leveled out a little more. Just my experience.

We have the heater hose mod and 28" tires. Works fine for us so far.

I did the wolfe coil over spring adjusters. Takes some cutting but you can get damn near any spring you might need.
