Default What class?

What class would a Stock ci, stock suspension, 10" wide slick car run in? And if anyone knows any average times for this class that'd be great. Thanks.

need more info on this partner. cam only, forced induction, 26 or 28 in slick (some classes only allow the 26). how fast are you trying to go. an all motor or cam only would be low 10's to be really competitive but not to hard on parts. you can always build up from there best advice is don't get in over your head from the start.

Nitrous car I think, this car has a trailered car setup specifically for a certain class (I don't know a ton about it) but he wants to run me for some $$$ and I'm trying to figure out a round about ET/trap for him, so if I could somehow figure out the class I could prolly figure out an estimated ET. It's a 67 camaro with a small block (350 I think) on hoosier 26" hoosier slicks (from what it looks like in the pic) and I don't see a roll cage.

i thought you were talking about building yours, well if it's not a dragradial car then there might not really be a class for it. x275, no boost i don't think you can runs slicks. typically fast cars on nitrous aren't happy with a 26in tire for traction so if he can hook on them he shouldn't be faster then high 9s unless he has multiple stages or progresive sys.

It could be outlaw 8.5 which uses a 26x8.5 tire. The hoosier is the best 26x8.5 tire out there and can take 5.20's to 5.80's on average to the 1/8....

Hmm, this car may be too much for me to handle then. Nice car BTW, I read your article in GMHT (i'm sure you get that a lot) lol.

What does your car run in the 1/8th? The slowest heads up class I know of around here is an all motor "Performance Street" class that runs in the 6.30-6.50 range.

Not that fast, I'm a full weight, H/C/100 shot Fbody. I just don't see this dudes car running that fast.....He says it was built for a specefic "class" but it doesn't have a roll cage so safety specs wouldn't even let him run if it's going that fast right?

NHRA requires a roll bar under 7.50 and then a full cage at 6.39. It really depends on the track though. Some places don't do much tech though.

If you don't think he is that fast go ahead and run him.
