Default which backspacing billit specialty wheels

i have ls1 rear brakes and i am looking at the billit specialty street lite wheels in 15x10s and 15x3.5
there is a huge price different in the fbody specific wheels and the 15x10 wheels with 7.5 backspacing. so my question is can i grind my calipers down enough to make the regular 15x10 wheels with 7.5 backspacing fit?

also the front 15x3.5 wheels, do i need to grind any on my front lt1 brakes to make them fit?

you "safely" need to buy the f-body specific ones. Otherwise people have ground down the rears quite a bit to fit the pro stars, I'm sure the billet specialties are the same way. The question is are you willing to take a risk of a panic stop causing your caliper to snap in half and lock up the tire?

will strange drag brakes clear the non fbody wheels? im thinking about upgrading to them for 450 and saving 200 on wheels if i do. so thats only 250 for drag brakes the way i see it.

You don't need to touch stock rear brakes (LS1 or LT1) with the Fbody-specific Billet Specialties wheels.

Ya lol we get that. But they are 100 a piece more. So if I can get a nicer set of brakes for only 250 more then I'm going to do it. I just wante to know what backspacing and size I need for the front

I still had to run a 1/4" spacer with my "fbody specific" fronts. The rears fit fine though.

I have ran gound calipers on multiple cars I had with not the first problem Only thing is you can't grind enough for the BS to fit that are not specific for the F-body.

What are the choices of backspace for the front?

THE REGULAR 15X10 STREET LITE WHEELS WILL NOT FIT STOCK BRAKES, EVEN WITH GRINDING!

The 15x3.5 fronts will work, and there is no "f-body specific " front wheel. The Strange brakes are the only setup that will clear the standard 15x10 rear wheel. Even Wilwood brakes won't fit.

OP is correct... you can get the Strange brakes basically for 1/2 the cost vs buying the f-body specific rears.

MWC stocks the Billet Specialty wheels(both std and f-body specific rears) and the Strange brakes. Give us a call!
