I have run 8.70s with no screws on an automatic trans brake camaro(3380lbs) with 1.23 60s and they never moved but on the other hand my heavy stickshifted camaro(3640lbs) car running 11.20s they moved a 1/2 inch or so with 1.50 60s so its up to the the car and setup I think. Just my .02 cents hope it helps .

My tires would spin on the rim on every pass with my old combo until I screwed them.Car weighed 3840 lbs on the scale at Norwalk and was a 6sp.After screwing them my 60' times went from mid 1.50's down to mid 1.40's.That one cheap, simple mod took me from a low 11 car to a high 10 car.I know alot of guys don't want to drill and screw their pretty wheels but I think it adds a little character to the car, especially to those who are aware of why you had to screw them.

Have any of you ever installed the screws with the tires already mounted? I was thinking if you are careful to only go through the rim, it could be done - what do you think?
Also, how many run ET Streets or similar with screws and no tubes? I have been told they will leak with screws and no tubes, but I don't agree with that. I saw at least one in this post that does it - anyone else?
Thanks
