LT1 alcohol carb
I am seriously considering on running an alky setup on the 68 drag car. I will be running a scirocco VW radiator. I am worried that I will be running hot on gas and ethanol is easier to source in my area than gas. It will need to support my 388ci, what carbs are you guys running?

I don't think that radiator will run hot fwiw, I have one that's a good bit smaller then one of those and it's going to cool a low deck bbc fwiw.
I would call pro systems for a carb though, they should be able to get you one setup for what you want to do, and at least have it in the ballpark.
Is the motor set up to run alcohol, ring gap wise, etc? And I'm sure someone has already said something to you, but the oil needs alot better maintenance program as well due to the amount of fuel that gets in it. Alcohol isn't legal for all classes too, which may or may not be an issue.

Had a gasoline 68 Nova with a VW radiator. I could make rounds all day long with no heat problems. I also used the original fan, shroud and rubber flapper system.
My BBC is 489 inches and runs a rather small Afco radiator. never gets hot on Alcohol, does on gasoline. Runs about .3 slower on race gas.

The 3000 cfm fan and shroud, will help alot with it as well as being able to leave the pump running, fan on when the engine is not. I don't plan on running it any more then I absolutley have to, I'll tow it as much as I can within the class limitations.

I just put a Terminator setup on my LT1 this season. It ran 10.20's with a carb on gas. I am very interested to see how much it picks up.
There are many small blocks around here on Ron's Fuel Systems. As long as they are set up for the motor they will run just fine.
If you are interested in a injected system I would call James Monroe at KillerRons. He is the best. He gives extremely good customer service and will get you pointed in the right direction.
