Cutting Dash With For Roll Bar

I just had to notch each corner about an inch in towards the center and then about inch and a half towards the steering wheel. Will get a couple picks when at the shop next time. I was really pleased with how nice the shop I used got the bar to tuck in.

If you can (if the cage isn't already done) try to get the bars routed so you don't have to cut the dash, and can just notch the upper dash piece.. this will make for alot easier/cleaner looking deal.
if you have to notch the dash out itself, it is what it is, I used a dremel with a coarse grit sanding drum and it made quick work of the task.

I don't have any here at work, might have some at home. The drivers side you will have to notch into the metal that's behind the dash to get the bar there, but it's not a big deal to do, the wiper assy shouldn't be in the way or anything else for that matter.
Passenger's side is easy, if the bar is tight to the dash metal it won't be an issue.

These are pics of the cage in my truck. Madman did this and I would say is the most amazing thing about this cage. I mean, there was no room for error here and he nailed it. Fit is perfect. I have no idea how he got this part so perfect. I mean, you look at it and can tell, it was a one cut deal cause the way it all fits back together. No cutting a little and then trial fitting...

My front bar goes pretty far foward and all of the underdash metal was cut flush with the firewell except for around the steering column. It's well beyond the dash and hugs the edge of the dash pad so I only had to notch a hole the size of the tubing. However, the stupid dash pad was like a pretzel and snapped into a thousand pieces. I'll try to get some pics anyways.
