Anybody run 4.88 gears with a t56? how would it be on the street and 1/8th mile ? i run 28 x 11.50 et drags... heads ... ms4.. all supporting mods and suspension. mini tubed. thanks

If you are only going to run 1/8th mile, and not try to cruise at 85 on the highway (even in 6th) I think it would be o.k. Better be ready to shift fast, 2nd and 3rd are going to come really quick.

I have 4.56 on a 27" and I grab 4th before the end of 1/8

i have 4.30 gears now and im no where near ready to shift to 4th in the 1/8. and i do less than 2000 rpm at 70 in 6th... ms4 is so choppy its annoying in 6th.... bucks and jerks with cruise on , find myself running in 5th alot.

Sounds like you have answered the question.... throw them in and see how it goes.

NO reason that it shouldn't work... just be ready to pull that 2nd gear really REALLY fast becuase you'll have the shift light on immediately.

Last car I drove with any type of gear like that was real fast to get out of first (was a 4 speed old school fairlane, 32x14 inch tire, 5.13 gear but you get the idea)
