Nice times. Too bad ford finally made a mustang capable of giving the LS1 a run for the money after the F-body's were discontued. Drop some weight, add some 4.30's or 4.56's and some sticky tires, and show some of these guys that LS1's can be beaten.

My buddies Mach 1 ran a 12.79 with the loudmouth exh. from slp. With stock tires. It was a great weather day, like -1500 ft. with a high baro. He is installing a vortech supercharger on it and some 4.10 gears. Should be interesting.

The Mach 1 is soft internally. I highly doubt the bottom end will hold any real boost for too long.

Thats what i heard too. I know hes looking into getting head studs before the install. He's been following some car from the mach1registry.com to see how it holds up on his car. They say theres a chance of the cranks walking. thats kinda scary.

4.6 owners do it all the time with no problems. Isn't the Mach I a 4.6?

I believe they have different internals... could be wrong though. I thought the Mach 1 DOHC was totally different than the old N/A Cobra DOHC.

hi guys i own a mustang but like f-bodies also so im not trying to starts any shitt. Any how i have a 00 gt built s/b heads and cams and still more to come in the future but i was wondering what the ss with the ls1 runs stock?
i ran 1 last night at the track which he ran a 13.2 @ 106 with i think all he had was exhaust. he pulled a 2.0 60ft to my 2.2 which i ran 13.6@104. i had all weather tires on my car which spins all thru 1st and 2nd. im thinking if i put some et streets on il possibly be in the mid 12s . on the street i have done 30 to 40 punches a couple times with some lt1s and ls1s and pull 2 to 3 cars on them and have been smoked by some ls1s with heads and cams any how i was just curious what a stockss runs. by the way my bro has a 96 lt1 procharged stock engine which im tring to get him to stroke it but at the time its having computer issues.

My neighbor just had a turbo put on his 5spd '03 Mach1 at Livernois (new sponsor). It's a bad *** set up. They think if boost is kept resonable the bottom end should be OK. He's going to be able to switch from 5lbs to 8lbs. With the 5lb tune it made 416rwhp, and 435rwtq on Livernois's Mustang Dyno. They are doing the 8lb tune now. Stock he ran a 13.4. Since he's done some suspension/chassis mods. Should be an 11 second car now. We should know within the next month. This MACH will surprize a lot of LS1's since it sounds stock, until you hear the turbo whistle, and blowoff.

I had a slomaro once. It was a 1986 Z-28 dark blue w/ T-tops. It looked great and I had a blast crusin' in it. I do have to admit, it was a POS, but a great looking POS though. After all of the time I spent working on it to keep it from leaking something or trying to track down a broken vac. line, I think it scarred me for life.

I converted to Ford in 1993 w/ a 5.0 LX Mustang. I just sold it to my brother 2 days ago with 160K miles on it. It still runs great and pulls like hell.

I've been a Ford fan ever since. You too can be convert and really see how much fun a Mustang is to own and drive. All you have to do is loosen the bowtie a bit and let some blood in to your brain. Only then you will understand what its like to get more time driving and enjoying your car than holding a wrench trying to keep it running.

The new fords are getting faster. My Stock SS ran 13.4 stock on factory tires consistently. Ran 13.2 or 13.3 a few times.

You are a dumbass. Nice of you to register on the site to talk **** on your very first post. You probably don't realize that MOST of us here have owned Mustangs before. If it were not for the LS1 engine, I'd still be building and racing Mustangs. Just because we drive GM cars right now, it doesn't mean we have always chose GM cars. OPEN YOUR MIND jackass. Its not always about brand loyalty, its mostly about performance loyalty. Glad to see Ford finally made an impressive NA Mustang, but what took so long?

Oh don't take it so seriously. Just having a bit of fun. I couldn't resist after seeing the other Mach guy taking a beating after making a friendly post so I thought I would stir things up a bit.

I do stand corrected. Instead of saying Ford Fan, I should have said Mustang Fan. I honestly do not have any loyalty to a particular manufacturer. If I like how their car or truck looks and performs, I buy it.

Finally a correction for you. I'm not a dumbass, I just act like one...

Just trying to keep a little competition and rivalry going!!!

don't come on to play around or jack around. this is ls1tech.... TECH

take it to the mustang boards. brand loyalty was thrown out the window and if ford dealers weren't so stuck on 03 cobra prices i'd be driving one right now. it was cheapere and easier to mod the ws6 that tiny bit to keep up/pass up the 03 so i went that route. that being said i work on a 5.0 (a buddies) more than i work on my car. no one's getting beat up on or pushed on here about the mach. we all know its a sweet car so don't come starting things please

think ls1TECH... TECH= info, not playing around

and i will now get off my soap box lol
