I had someone call me an idiot basically last night because I said when mine was done i would still drive it to and from the track... I was confused and explained it was 100% still a street car (full weight/full leather interior/AC/heat/etc etc)... Basically was saying because it was going to be fast/etc it wasn't a street car.
You drive street cars comfortably on the street.

Well my lifters have started to make a little more noise than I am comfortable with so the heads are coming off. While they are off, Kris Nelson and Matt from Clearwater, FL will be porting them for me for a great price. Along with this I ordered LS7 lifters, ARP head bolts, and GM MLS head gaskets with .51 thickness.

I knew those heads were bound to come off.. I thought AFRs would go back on, but I was close enough!

Once I get to a certain point I switch to drinking hot sauce however, much cheaper... Not the same buzz. LOL
Nah man, not in the military.. When Caleb gets back he is coming to stay with me for about two weeks, going to try to make it to the Fest.
After that we're both driving our cars down and I'm going to stay for a few days. I'll be moving down for good at the first of the year.
Caleb, did you opt for the emission fittings on the headers or was there no choice? They look damn good!

Those headers look amazing brother. I wonder how much hp I am giving up with my non name brand headers. We will figure it out when you get back. Looking forward to having you down here Lemons.

I beleive there was a reason why I didnt get the race style but cant remember. If anything, Ill just use some blockoff plates for the EGR. Man, the welds are perfect, a quality piece. I had LG's before, and I think the quality of Kooks is better as far as the welds and how clean/perfect they are. And these are 1 7/8'' primaries with a 3X3 X-pipe.

It depends on the brand honestly. Usually there isnt a HUGE power difference but there is a significant difference in the quality of the welds, steel, bends, etc. I have working knowledge about every header made for a C5 so I have some good info if you need it.
