Cam only 6.0 liter?
WTF?

That takes away the whole spirit of the competition away doesn't it?

yeah the heads were milled .040 and they are "241" 5.7 heads. i dynoed 406/417 with unmilled "99" heads, 415/409 with the milled 02' 241 "better flowing" heads, and 424/420 with tuning i figure its about the same as any other full bolt on M6 car with cam only.

424/420 is NOT like every other cam only M6 car.
But is it was, what difference would that make?
If you have heads and cam and make 410rwhp is that the same?
Or if you have a stock motor on a dry shot and it make 405 is that the same?

I think you missed the point.

10 months ago Mike went 6.60's on dragradials and a single dry kit with that damn F1 cam.Its been past that 6.75 for about 16 months now.
He went a 6.51 @105 2 weeks ago and since then has gained 20rw on motor. We plan on getting to Hallsville this weekend for some nitrous times out of two SI cars and his cam only car. Both of the SI cars have been in the high 6.7's low 6.8's here in Dallas.

Thanks for the replys Sam. I havent been keeping up with this but I did post what it had ran. You bean spiller you!!!! LOL

If I can get a tranny in the car this weekend, it looks like Hallsville will be the next. I need to go some 9's so I can get a haircut!

W1 Cam only setup, dry kit pilled at 150.

NA through a TH400 and 9" the car makes 392rwhp and 38X on torque. The converter is very tight nitrous setup (3600rpm) and wont go a penny more on the brake. Hardly even flashes either NA. It loves the juice.

I went 6.75 with the stock LS1 intake, stock tb, 10 bolt w/ 3.23s, and a baby TR224 cam. Also, the nitrous was cutting out a little bit before the 1/8th. I might have potential, but it will be a while before I do anymore mods. This was on a NX 150 shot. Raceweight was 3450.

TH400 = 50 rwhp LOSS, that puts me @ 350ish rwhp.
I have an ultrabell,TH400 with 12 quarts of fluid, heavy drive shaft, heavier shifter,
not to mention more safety stuff.
A semi tight converter that nets me the same 60'.(1.51)
It 60's the same off the brake as it does footbraking it.
This is where keyboard racing meets the REAL world. The ONLY people who are
going to pick up ET going from an M6 to a TH400 are people who don't know how
to drive a six speed or can't 60' worth a ****.
On top of that,I have colder plugs, less timing(10rwhp on this cam),dropped the gear
down, and have a 2.45 first gear.
So do the math, the same 60',150# of added weight, and down 50 rwhp.

If I had a looser converter,I *might* get a high 1.4x 60'....and I STILL wouldn't be near the 10's.

Just a couple of question to better understand your set up. What stall is your converter? What times are ya running now with a 1.51 60ft? What rpm are ya shifting at? What does your Hot Rod weight?

Just needing some more info brother!
