Ok I've been reading for awhile that people set the shocks stiff as hell to get good launches but I don't understand how that works? Ive got my best times having the shocks set at 1/1 and when I go stiffer it seems not to transfer the weight of the car as well.
I have bilstien struts up front. My best 60 ft is 1.61 and I know the car has more in it. What settings do most of you 6speed cars run and why? I'm going to try to set the shocks pretty stiff next time I go out to see what it dose and ill keep you all posted but I would like to just see what people are running before I do my adjustments.
Thanks guys.
Oh and I'm running mt et street 26x11.5x16 at 11psi for my best 60ft and was launching at around 5800-6500 rpm

Thanks for at least responding lol. I guess since mine are 24 way to set the compression on 10- 12 since yours is half way and 12 settings. I just don't know if I should place the rebound higher or lower than the compression.
I need to get some videos of me off the line.

I set my driver side at about 16 and the passenger side at 14. I also run about 1/2 lb more air in the driver side tire. I took some videos of both sides of my car and you can see the driver side tire hit the the pavement extremely hard and then to some extent try to bounce back. The gap between the fender and tire on the passenger side doesn't seem to change at all and it loads the tire nice and smooth, comparitively speaking. By running the shocks stiffer it will help to control the violent hit to the rear. I am not running a drag bar but I do have an upgraded 1" chromoly sway bar. It all depends on your cars weight, cont. arm angle, torque arm length and angle, spring rate, ride heights, clutch, tires, and track conditions. If you have access to a good video camera try and get some video of your launch and then watch it in slow motion to see what is going on with the whole car.

those were compression settings. I run the rebound at around 12-14 driver side and 10-12 on the passenger side. If you have a solid drag sway bar you may be able to set the shocks the same but even then the driver side tire takes the majority of the hit with a manual car.

Well I went to the track last, stiffened the shocks a little bit but not as much you guys said and it felt a little better. Got an 11.37 @ 118.6 with 1.63 sixty and the DA was 2081ft. Haven't been in the 11.3's since since I put my roll bar in and the DA was 60ft So I'm happy. Sorry no video
