Default Drag Race tire options for 17" skinnies

What are my options if I go with 17" skinnies up front? This is a street strip car but I'm more concerned with strip performance. I'm looking at the Weld RT-S 17x4.5 wheels.

Thanks.

There are only two options that I know of. M&H has one that's bias ply and hoosier has one that is a radial .

Who has the best prices on them? I know there are some street type tires that are like a 195/40 but I'm afraid they will look too wide and be too heavy.

Any 17" race front I would check the vehicle weight limit before purchasing.

I may go with 15s anyway. Just want the right offset so they don't stick out and 17s would be easier without clearancing brakes.

I like the looks but it would be more for brake clearance. Don't want to spend the money on aftermarket brakes right now.

the RT-S was made for the modern muscle car

tell weld, summit, whoever what you are trying to do and they will set you up with the right wheel specs.

I don't think the medium pads, which are the ones made for our cars, will tuck into the fender the way i want them to and the low pads don't fit over the brakes. So, I either get the low pads and change brakes, or get the medium pads and get shorter control arms. Or get the 17s and not worry about brake clearance. That is my decision.

The medium pad RT-S will clear the brakes too, that isn't the issue. The issue is how far they stick out. I don't want them even with the fender. Don't care for that look.

Oh, and I don't want race stars.

Champions aren't gonna fit over stock brakes. You'll need drag brakes for sure.
