My 98 SS 4 month build thread

Hey Todd this is Rich with the NBM Z, I talked to you at the dyno day a bit. When are you planning on hitting the track again? I'm hopefully going on the 19th, it's a MOMs night but I figure it should be fun shitting on some of the more poorly built Mustangs lol.
Oh yeah, I'll be installing those LT's you sold to that Greg guy on his car. I saw them on RL and he mentioned a few days later about looking in to LT's, so I told him about yours and I think he picked them up like 2 or 3 days later. Good stuff, hopefully that install goes smooth He picked up a GTP catted Y for them and they fit those headers perfectly.

Hit the track and see what I can run!

Cool, if you remember, post up here or PM me when you plan on going. I'm going to FL tomorrow until the 9th, so if you end up going next week I could probably swing a trip down. I'd love to watch this thing in action! I also have the itch to race after going a few times this year, and more practice doesn't hurt

Hoping to make it to the track Friday the 12th.
Gotta get my anti-roll bar installed, remove door bars,
Get my new tach/shift light in and if I have time move
The battery to the back.

Hah, just stumbled across this thread. Badass build! Pretty sure we're installing the exhaust on the 27th and possibly going to the track beforehand on the 19th for some baseline times. I just sold the LS6 intake I had previously bought, decided I want to put the money towards a converter next summer instead. However, the LT headers, gutted/catted Y, chrs1313, lid, and basic tune up along with the new NT05s should wake the car up a bit.

Friday isn't going to be much better per this mornings forecast. We're hitting the shitty time of the year to hit the track unless you're just going to bracket race and not care about car performance. It's also a MOMs night according to the schedule. I wanted to go this weekend, but I already know what my car does in sub-optimal conditions, so I think I'm just going to hold out for a night where there isn't a stupid car club shootout, MOMs race, or 2000ft DA's lol.

Went to my local 1/4 mile track yesterday. They had a nostalga race and only allowed
1974 and older cars to run with no test and tune. So I couldnt even make a pass!
So Studderin and I decided to check out another local track. Its a NHRA sanctioned
track thats less than a 1/10 mile. I think its 530'. What a **** hole! Worse traction
than unprepped street! I spun the whole track... 1st 2nd and third..
The drag strip is on an oval track so its banked on the drag strip.
I think Johnny has some pics and maybe a video of me driving a New Era customers
