(updated FIXED)11.3 et @ 114.9 is my mph low? update... with a 9" 4.30 gears and a built trans i ran 119mph
old info below.
The car launched hard and overall had a great pass.
However i was expecting 2-3+ higher mph
what do you guys think?
I left it in drive so in theory it could have shifted into o/d but i dont think so. Car has ss4000 stall 4.10 gears and 27.8 in tires in back with the stock 4l60e
does this mph seem normal?
on second thought there is no way it went into fourth as low as 114mph. i think i just shifted into 3rd. My tires in back are too big would be my best guess. would some 26" tires give me more mph and a better et?
i only made one good pass because the track was very busy so i cant compare passes

Seems low to me considering the power.
4.10/27.8" isn't a bad over all final drive gearing for your car. Is your converter locking up at any point or is it staying unlocked on the big end? That could have something to do with the mph issue.

I meant to leave it in drive, but it was in O/D. However with a stock 4l60e and 4.10 gears with 325 m/t drs at 27.8-27.9" I would have still been in third @114.9mph right?
The trans slipping does make perfect sense and is very possible.
I think my tall back tire (27.9ish) and my small et front tire (24") were hurting my mph as well, but that's a guess. Does someone know from experience if my tires are hurting my mph and/or ET
I'm going to talk to my tuner to see if in fact the converter is set not to lockup

I only had one good run ever in it.
it was crazy busy Sunday Only managed one good pass
I have no idea where my rpms were, I was so surprised by the 1.49 60, and trying to be observant of everything about the car, being a totally new drivetrain, wheels and brakes, i completely overlooked the rpms at the finish.

I just remember Geoff from EPS telling me one time about his car running 12.0@113 with boltons only then he did a heads and cam and all kinds of suspension and it still trapped 113-114, found out the trans was slipping even though you couldnt really tell going down the track. Put a new trans in and it jumped to 120mph right away

Stock shocks and springs 155k miles, I was thinking a 26" if I can get it to hook.
I also just added a new picture and a new video to my build thread, link is up higher in my previous post, also just notice something flew out from under my car after the traps, no idea what it was

Tom i'm running 3.23's and if i run it in overdrive it changes gears early, if i run it in drive it stays out of overdrive and shifts where it should. Just my 2 cents. Crossing the stripe at 118mph/11.47
