Default 7.61 @ 97 mph with a 1.98 sixty 1/8 mi... HELP!

Well like the title states this year that was the best I could get the car to go. I was wondering what I could do to possibly get my sixty foot down into the 1.5-1.6 range and what that would net me in ET and my MPH in the 1/8th mile. I was only able to get the car down to the track once this year and make 3 runs. my mph was consistant for not being able to hook at 96-97 mph. my ETs were all over the place with my best being the 7.61 and last, but not least all my sixty foot times were between a 1.98 and 2.1, yes horrid i know. I need some suggestions guys.

Mine is stock ride height. 3600 stall 3.23 gear adjustable torque arm set at -2 fixed LCAs and subframe connectors. My tires do good on 18 psi. Probly need to look into a torque arm. I'm sure some other guys on here will chime in that have more experience, that's my thoughts but my car only puts down 398/367. That mph u should be a lot quicker. I had a mustang that ran 6.90s @98 1.5x 60s

Yeah 6.90s was actually my goal for the car. I know the mph is there, but the short times are way off. I'm already looking into subframe connectors and possibly a torque arm. I'm stock ride height as well

I have nothing for suspension but lowering springs and relocation brackets, everything else is 100% stock. 295/55-15 mickeys at 14#. 1.60-1.62s consistantly, 7.2x@94. you dont need alot of parts just get the geometry right and the tires hot

Try slicks, drag radials sometimes just wont work on tracks that aren't good.

I wish I could do that. As far as slicks I think that's what I'm going to try and run for next year. I ahold also mention the track prep here is not so great. People usually run a few tents slower at the track here actually. I don't have any video unfortunately. The best I can describe is if I get the tires nice and hot it will initially grab and then just unload and spin like crazy. I did get the car to hook on he street with some pimp juice laid down on the pavement... Best the car has ever hooked.

I'd definitely get some sub frames. The torque may be fine. I bought mine for the simple fact that the car will be a lot faster than it is now. My car leaves hard for what it is and the power it makes I think, but I'm sure it can be done without it. You may need to take some of that pump juice to the track with you. The tires you're running should be enough I think, but I'm new with these cars. I've always had mustangs.

If you don't I would go for some lower control arm relocation brackets a torque arm and a good adjustable shock (strange single adjustable). That way you can get the geometry right and have a shock to help keep that booty stuck. What's the front suspension look like?

The front suspension is stock except for the front sway bar being removed. Drag shocks are in the plan as well come tax return time or maybe Christmas

Did you go to the track on a street car night or a regular racing night?

I am getting drag shocks for sure as for the torque arm that all depends on the funds. I would like to get a MWC torque arm built for my car.

Go on a regular race night and go early and get in line. I bet your car will hook on a fresh prepped track no problem.

Warm is comfortable but cold is faster.

I have been waiting for a cold day to get a new best.
