Probably a stick shift car then? That can happen if you lose wheel speed.

he has the nt05r's which are the softer sidewall and compound for a more drag oriented version. Now I have nt05's which have the stiffer sidewall and compound for roadracing.

But Justin I'd listen to lemons12 dudes got some know how. But it would. Be a badass picture. One day I'll be able keep up

You aren't anywhere close to anything like that... You can pull the tires with what you have.

Adjustable shocks and you got it.

FWIW, your sixty and ET seems off, slow.

Unless your using a trans break launching higher isn't going to do much for you, might hurt the 60 times. some converters liked to be flashed, some slack taken out, some to the breaking point. Either way its not going to be some huge massive 60 gain.

You don't need wrinkle wall slicks to pull the wheels up!! You really need some susp. work and a good set-up! With your mods that car should be down to 11.5s Check Drag Results, a friends bolt-on car just went 11.98 and 1.59 60' at Atco last week!! I'm cam-only (and a small one at that) and my best times are in sig. As for tires, you can't beat MT DRs, and I launch like Lemons12, 1000-1200rpm and flash the converter. Dead hooks at every track!!

To pull tire or not pull tire is a massive topic and not something that can be said in one sentance.

If you need weight transfer the the more wheelie the better to keep weight out back. If that is the case then a wheelie is the only way to make that car be it's fastest.

If you can dead hook and don't need the entire weight of the car on the rear tires to do so then just lifting the tires a touch off the track for the first bit of track helps get you out of the hole.

In a perfect world every launch would look identical to all the big classes. Top fuel being king **** obviously. If you notice they(funny car especialy) pull the front tires 2-4 inches, carry them for 60-100 feet and set them down. That is the "perfect" balance of weight transfer and getting the front off the ground to reduce resistance.

Find out why it is SO slow first. Tires aren't helping you. A true drag radial will get you closer to your goal. Here is mine when it was stock internal. A 1.53 60' should get you there.

Why are people still talkIng 60ft times? I have seen cars cut 1.4 and not raise the tires, i personally was cutting 1.50s and not lifting, i have seen cars cut 1.6s and raise them 2ft in the air.

I ran my Good years at 15, psi, I could launch around 1800 with them. Lower your PSI and hit them harder, it might get you to your goals of pulling wheel, without having to change anything else.

Because pulling the wheels is a function of traction. Better traction = better 60'. Who pissed in your cheerios this morning?

It is a function of how the suspension is set up and weight transfer.
Traction has nothing to do with it. Cars can run low 1.4s and dead hook not lifting and cars can cut high 1.6s and dead hook and lift them.

Dead hooking is dead hooking.. Even the 60ft time has nothing to do with it.
I would love to hear why traction (granted you're hooking), or the sixty foot time has anything to do with it.
