why would you want to take away the tunability of shift points, and run the trans at max linepressure all the time?

To be able to find and optimize the best shift points at the track for the best et. And not messing around with the computer to do it for me. I know there are trans like the TH 350/400, but I'm not about to shell out new ds, crossmember, stall, shifter and maybe even rear gear to compensate for the lazy first gear on these trans.

Just tune it for the track once and call it the day. 10s will be a breeze with the right tune and shift points. Who are you using to tune it now?

Rossler makes a module that plugs into the trans and makes it a manually shifted trans. Plug and play with I think a two wire hookup.

if you use the rossler module, that just gives you control of when it shifts, correct? has nothing to do with line pressure, fluid flow, ect?
