Seems like how most build threads go on the internet You also have to factor in it being tigged if he opted weld in which not everyone has access to.

That and MS is not as meticulous to weld as far as overheating.

Thanks for the compliments. I got a few things done. I got the majority of the pieces painted. All I have left is the dash and the rear hatch piece. I washed the pieces with soap and water, dried them, then cleaned them with alcohol, sprayed them with adhesion promoter and then painted them with the duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint.

I got a little over half the carpet done because I ran out of paint. I pulled the backing off of the carpet as well. I would have weighed it in the box, but my scale needs a new battery.

I also found $2.77 in change.

As for this comment, I have spent many extra couple hundred bucks on many parts of my build. I didn't see that I needed to do that on the carpet as of right now.

I didn't mean the carpet, I was talking about the Moly cage. How fast is this car going to be? Mild steel only good for 7.50 and you probably will fly with TT setup

Definitely don't plan on ever going that fast. I'll be happy in the 8's.

I got the driver seat mounted. I cut two pieces of angle iron and welded them to the floor board. I'll take a pic of the brackets when the seats out, but this the picture that I have right now

I welded most of the passenger plate in. Definitely need to grind some of it down and reweld it.

I finished up the passenger side plate and got a good bit done on the drivers side plate. I think I'm getting better at it.

I got a little bit more done. I was able to finish welding the driver side support plate. Here is a picture of the seat mount as well.

It's up some. My head is close to the top. If it becomes a problem, I'll move it down.

What set did you o with?? I just finished my kirkey pro drags and opted to go with the racecraft brackets. Good to see your learning to weld though, if I knew how, it would have saved me the 200$ for the brackets..
