I got some more done. My wifes uncle came over this weekend and fast forwarded me through some welding. So now I have to do the stabalizing bars, door bars, and the down bars. I need to know if I have to notch to get the down bars to clear the dash, also how to get them to fit right. Any help and pics is appreciated.

I finished the cage. I have to get a window net and weld that in, weld in the tabs for the 5pt harnesses, and weld in the passenger seat brackets.

Thanks

I guess the next thing that I'll do is paint the parts of the cage that aren't going to be welded to for the harness and window net, put the carpet back in some how, dash, and interior parts.

Does that sound about right?

Looks good man!

So are you putting a dash bar in? If so are you keeping the heater? Do you if the dash bar is required for a 8.50 cage?

Thanks

It's not required so I'm not putting it in. I'm keeping the heater as well

I made some progress today. I got everything painted except for where I'm going to have to weld. I got the carpet, dash, and seat back in. Here are some quick pics I took

I made some progress. I got the window net mounts welded in, painted the rest of the cage, cleaned up my wiring, and installed some of the interior pieces.

But....I've got two plugs left haha! I know that one is for my fog lights but I'm not sure which one. I'm hoping that the other one doesn't go to anything it was just installed for tcs.

SOOO JEALOUS!! It looks damn good man.

But I have a off topic question, what shifter is that? I really like how it goes in the stock location like that. I have wanted that for like a year.

Also what kind og paint did you use on the cage? I like the (for a lack of a better word) ripple effect

Thanks man. It's a b&m pro ratchet shifter. The paint is the black hammered rustoleum paint.

So does that still have a "drive" function or is it just P R N ratchet? And ok, the cage looks damn good especially for a DIY with a "fast forward" welding training.

Are you planning on mini tubes?

It's P R N 1 2 3. I welded everything else after that. I couldn't wait for him to get some time off.
