So I'm looking for a few tips n tricks to those who, or anybody that has done this. Car currently has no wires in it and I want to race wire it but lost on a few things. I want to use all my oem switches, mainly it would be power windows, lights (lows only), tail/brake lights, turn signals and I want to use my stock ignition. Like I said, all my stock switches are there and the steering colum still has the wire harness in it, I just unplugged the main harness from it. As far as the engine harness goes, it will be a harness from PSI. Will the engine harness have signal wires from the computer to the relay board for the fans, fuel pump etc? Here's all the relay/fuse boards and computer I need to wire up.

Im about to. Using the same controller. Should be pretty simple. Im using 8switch panel and reusing factory brake switch and headlamp switch. I cut off connectors for all lamps and am reusing them. I have the wiring schematics if you need them. Only thing im not doing is using turn signals or the small controller you have for them.

If you are proficient with an meter, it will help a lot. Another trick that helps for searching things down is using a battery charger and touching the individuals wires to power to see what it powers up. I used a fuse block and wired all my power to it from the battery, used the factory headlight switch, door switches, dome switch ect.

Its not too bad, really all pretty easy. I have the same set-up from Randy as you but I am using XFI for my ecu. Keep all your connectors from everything, we have my line lock wired into the cruise control, data logger in the traction control button, hatch release works, turn signals, windows, locks, high/low beam, fog lights, basically everything. It did take a little bit of time since I had never done anything electrical like this but it turned out ok.

no not at all. it took me maybe 10- 15 hours to do the whole car. im good with electrical tho. the only thing i used was a chilton manual and a volt meter.
first i pulled the steering colume out and messured contiunity between the switches and electrical connection so i knew which switch went to what connections.
then i soildered everything thats why it took so long.

i have to look at the wiring diagram and ill post it up in a couple days of the cluster diagram. it will be for a 98 camaro cluster to a ls1 pcm. i had aftermarket gauges in there. but this year im putting a dash/cluster back in to get speedo back. so my cluster will work like stock. turn singals, check engine light, oil, temp, tach, speedo (th400 with a speed sensor in it).
but ill post a diagram of what needs to be hooked up on the cluster to get it to work. i have to figure it out this winter anyways so if it helps i just do it now and post it
