I also once pulled the wheels about a foot and ran a 6.9x in the 1/8 with no helmet/cage/seatbelt and a girl in the front seat..... prob not the best idea but they soon shut me down.

my buddy has a g-body goes 5.70s in 1/8th without cage...

There is a mustang that runs at my home track runs 5.70's with a pvc pipe cage. lol he put pool noodles over all of it... no one ever asked any questions. kind of a redneck track Shadyside dragway in Shelby, NC.

that's a beautiful set of runs, and crazy fast with no cage! lol i thought i was pushing my luck at 9.0's at 152 with just a 6 pt and plan on being quite a bit faster this year with it. i hate having to climb over the bar so i know where your buddy is coming from. I drive mine a hell of a lot more than it sees a track so kinda wish it had swingouts at times but it was in the car when i got it and it's staying.

Fast MPH was a 11.12 @ 137 (YES. I know.) in my old piece of **** 613whp gutted CRX... Tech wasn't too happy with me after that run, either.
