My opinion is in the rear drag bar as well. The car is twisting way to much. The car appears to plant the tire fine on launch, but just as it starts to twist it blows the tires off.

ok so an update
I installed some comp 3way drag shocks and I set them at the 50/50 setting (I think) not the greatest invention for adjusting shocks I might say lol
took it for a ride earlier and its pretty stiff now
also I took it to a secluded concrete road where I do alot of my testing
results is it don't seem to squat and it still spins but its moving forward now
im a little disappointed with this car
previously I was running a 4l60e with a circle d 4c 3600-3800 stall and a 10 bolt with 3.73 gears and a 275/40/17 MT drag radial and it would dead hook on the street (150 shot) out of hole
NOW.... since I swapped in a th400 and a 9" 4500 nitrous converter and a 12 bolt with 3.73 gears and a 295/50/15 MT drag radial I cant hook for **** on motor on concrete
im at my wits end and don't have a clue
im up for suggestions

Is your front swaybar removed?? Do you have a transbrake now with the th400?? Maybe change the n2o activation to 5000 rpm, until you get the susp. working better. What is your best et/mph with this setup??

You may end up going to a bias ply tire especially if you use the transbrk. in the future. At this point, more susp. work/adjusting what you have and maybe back the n2o down, its no fun blowing the tires off every pass!! JMO! Good Luck and keep us posted!

track bar? as in a drag bar?? I have my torque arm set in the middle hole of my relocation crossmember... I was thinking about raising it up to the top hole

im assuminng your footbraking the car and letting the converter flash to like 5 grand? awfully high stall speed especially if your hitting with a 100 out of the hole. before you said the car was *** tight hooking on the street with a 150 shot?? whats inside that 12 bolt? a locker or a spool? obviously a lot changed when you changed to that th400 and 12 bolt since before you said it was hooking great...on the STREET. i dunno. a 4500 nitrous converter is probably flashing to 5 grand with a big hit of nitrous. id thow 4.10's or 4.56's in that thing and try a longer burnout. and this is just me but like someone said that converter may be too much stall for what you are trying. id try to get best you can do without bottle and see if that switches it up. footbrake the poop out of it and launch off the bottle instead of on so you can feel what that rear end is doing.
im just real curious how you launch, what rpm are you launching, and what hit of nitrous you are using and when...

I stall it up to around 3000
12 bolt has a locker in it with 3.73
the car did not spin last night but I didn't spray it either so idk
thinking about going back to track Friday and seeing what it will do on spray (150shot)

stay at 100 shot and try it again. im suprised you got such a large converter in there. id say that something like a 3800 nitrous verter would be sufficient enough for you, especially if your hitting a 150 right off the lights. that converter is gonna flash past 3800 to 4 grand anyways before it grabs and you got a 4500 in there probably flashing to almost 5,000 rpm with a big nitrous hit. i betcha your blowing the tires loose because as soon as the converter catches up to the motor, it overloads the tires, and its probably timed perfect with the nitrous too. just real wierd how before you were hooking on the street with a 10 bolt and th400. those tires may be suspect too. drag radials and nitrous are always hard to get to agree with each other.
its hard to see from that first video but it looked like the car hooked good for the first 10feet then wham, tires busted off. i woulda loved to see what your tach was doing..lol

when I swapped to the th400 I put the 12 bolt in at same time and that's when traction has went to ****
I went from a 4l60e with a circle d 4c which it would flash to around 4200 on spray
to now a th400 with a 9" hughes converter that flash to 46-4700 on the spray
so its roughly 500rpm more flash and I really think something is up with the geometry of the suspension
im really considering moving my TA up to the top hole on my relocation crossmember and resetting the Pinion angle just to see what it will do
