When I sold my factory rear brakes to a guy in Rhode Island the 2 backing plates, 2 cross drilled and slotted rotors, brake pads, 2 brake calipers, e brake cables all weighed 65.6 lbs in the box. The whole Strange Rear drag race brake kit still in the box with all the packaging weighed 28.8 lbs! Just the rotors alone you shave off 7-10 lbs per rotor!

I've had mine in the back for about 6-8 months and the brakes stop fine. I just took a look at the pads and they still have a ton of meat left on them.
