Question Launching a stock C5Z06 on a non-prepared track (no glue etc)

Hi,

can anybody give me some advice on launching a stock C5Z06 (new stock goodyear tires) on a non-prepared track like an airfield-strip for example where there is no glue applied to the track?

I don't go drag racing all that often / much, the fastest I've been in the past was 12.8 on a track that had glue applied to the road (englishtown raceway in NJ). However here in Germany there are pretty much no "real" tracks, just drag-racing events on airfields etc.

I've only been once so far and I haven't been able to break into the 12s. I launch between 2500 - 3000, letting the clutch slip and feathering the gas until i feel grip and then put down the hammer, shifting just before redline. the fastest i've been was 13.191 @ 109.49 mph (here's a video) so i'm sure there is room for improvement...

any advice is welcome, thanks.

check your Clutch Master fluid out, if its dark ya need to suck it out some how and put new In, I do it to my Zo6 every month to keep it clean and that pedal feels nicer also
