Finally, a few shakedown runs with new combo
Been building this car for about 4 years now, all new motor, drivetrain, ect.
Combo in sig.
When to the track Friday nite, no track prep and car was bouncing off the rev limiter (7200 at first then at 7500 later).
And I can't drive, lol, been along time and having to shift the car now.
Anyways, best 60' was a 1.459 spinning. Ran a soft 6.615 in the 1/8th with a low 101.27 mph, I think I let out of it before the 1/8th. No rollbar yet!
Only could muster a 1.59 60', 6.928 1/8th, 10.682 at 128.43 mph. Bouncing off the rev limiter around the 1,000' mark. 1/4 mile, "the hell with the rollbar"!
Highest mph was a 131.09.
So I'm thinking if i could get the car to hook and up the rev limiter, car would run 10.20's as it sets now.
Looking for 10.0, when all said and done. Track tuning the car, adjusting the suspension.
Car still has stock shocks. Next mod. Oh, and a SHIFT LIGHT.
Been alot of people asking about the car, thought I'd share.

You don't have a shift light? Okay then...
Anyway, you need the cage or at least a roll bar. That can change the way it drives on the track, almost entirely. Doing it later will probably just give you a whole new set of bugs to work out. You've got good mph and, depending on weight, it sounds like you should be right there at the ET you're thinking... if it hooks & goes straight.
