with your setup thats all u trapped with it? wow...well since my gtech calculated exit speed on the 1/4 id say thats about 115-116 actual trap speed which with hook is low 12 maybe maybe high 11 but with an m6 for most is a mid 12

I ran the gtech for the first time thanks to my buddy FBodman and me and him went down a stretch of road.. not the nicest place but only safe place in town.I don't know what factors play into it.. me and him combine for about 420-440 lbs above my full option car weight.. running on 18s with some wheel hop... oh and LS1 intake not LS6 intake... let me know!!

What should I be trapping.. by the way i need to learn how to drive lol

with your mods and that large of a cam i wouldve assumed 120esk trap speed in real life at a track even with the ls1 intake.

Gtech measures actual speed at the end of a 1/4. A true 1/4 trap speed is the average of the last 66 feet. So it may be even lower.

Real car - '02 TA A4, G5 cam, cutout and bolt-ons. 385 whp, 3,475 lbs, Nitto DR's. 1.85 60', 12.2 @ 113.

2nd real car - '99 SS M6, 427 all-bore full up. 505 whp motor only, unknown weight, Nitto streets. "Terrible" 60', 11.4 @ 125.

http://www.ondoperformance.com/calculators.html
Calculates about 11.8 ET at 3,750 lbs (generic weight) @ 116 (ballpark number).

[edit] BTW, 66 feet is .38 seconds at 116 mph, so the mph from GTech is probably pretty close to track trap speed, but still higher. [/edit]

11.5 @ 116 mph here. auto car though. i would expect a solid 11.9 out of her if you can hook the car. take a few mph off the traps of gtech though. traps are an average speed in the real world

During my lunch break I went out onto a deserted highway a few miles from work and gave it another try with the gtech.. this time round I managed a 119.3 mph. That sound a little better? Either way so probably high 11s or low 12s if I hook up and can drive?

I predict a 114 mph trap speed at the drag strip. My G-Tech always reads 5 mph higher than actual trap speed and .10 too fast. What did it say your ET was?

ET ehhh.. was trying to leave that out lol 13.1 ....18s, street tires & 400+ rwhp dont go well together for traction

I would foresee:

low 12's@116 spinning OR
mid 11's with good traction.

That's awfully optimistic for a 114 - 116 mph trap speed in an M6. Remember, he said G-Tech was saying 119 mph and G-Tech is always too high on the trap speed. I predict mid to high 12's spinning or low 12's with traction.

Now you're talkin'. The previous poster was sayin mid to high 12s...something is seriously wrong if you run that kind of time with those heads and cam. With traction, you should be well into the 11s IMO.

My g-tech mph is almost always 5-6 mph too high . I ran it at the track and found this out. And has been as high as 10 mph off .
As far as the mph goes, I ran 11.62 @ 117 with a 1.64 60ft .
Good luck and get some tires that hook and see what you get at the track.

My car is similar to yours, street tires, full weight (jack and tire in), fully stock suspension with exception of adj panhard (waste of money), I weight 235. I ran 12.40 @ 117.01 in humid warm weather 5/7 in Fayetteville NC. see sig. Stock heads, stock intake. Haven't redone my Ls1 edit dyno tune for the lt's and y pipe. That was on a bogging 2.03 60 ft on Kumho 711's.

cool man. Thanks for the info. I have the Kumho ecsta MXs on there right now and they do pretty good. I guess I will just have to go to the track to find out exactly what she's got!!
