Driveshaft too long - options?
The shop asked for "bottomed out length" and said they would subtract for slip. I have emails back and forth where they keep asking specifically "This measurement is yoke bottomed out correct" "Yes bottomed out" etc. etc. Even on the phone they said "give me bottomed out length, because most other driveshaft places will subtract too much for slip, these cars only like XXX for slip and we'll take care of that". I waited from the summer until now to get the driveshaft, and had to call and email and phone many times to follow up on it's status.
Well needless to say I got my new shaft in (finally) and it was made exactly to the bottomed out length with nothing subtracted for slip.
Is there a simple way to fix this or does it mean a scrap shaft and new one has to be made?
Ahh the joys of modding I know it'll all work out, just trying to avoid sending it back etc. if I can rig it up somehow locally.
It's TH400 to Moser 12 bolt 1350 yokes.
Anyone have out-of-the-box ideas? Besides moving engine forward, rear backwards..
Thanks!

I bet if I had given them my actual length, they would have subtracted for slip and it would be still wrong - murphy's law and all that you know
