MT vs. Hoosier C6 Corvette on 17 x 8.5's

MT vs. Hoosier C6 Corvette on 17 x 8.5's I'm debating which tires to go with for my C6 Corvette.
I have a set of C5 Wagon wheels that are 17 x 8.5.
The only tire size that I can run on these rims are 275/40/17. When comparing the MT vs. Hoosier, the Hoosier wheels are shorter in diameter and lighter.
My only concern is that the Hoosier's Measures width is 10'' and the MT is 9''.
I know i want to get as close to 8.5'' as possible, but I'd like to go with the Hoosiers since they are lighter and shorter. How much do i have to be concerned with the wheels crowning and hurting performance in the Hoosiers vs the MT's?
