Default ET Streets

I am going to the track next Wednesday with ET Streets for the first time. What psi should I be at if I plan to drive to the track (~10 miles), and what psi should I start with at the track. My car is a 6 speed, with 3.73's and 333rwhp. I do have a 12 bolt and a cartek clutch, so I hopefully won't break anything.

Thanks for the help

I run around on 28psi, then lower that to 20 at the track. That's a good starting point. If it spins, I lower the pressure.

ditto on above.. i think most run 26-28ish on street with them and then drop to 18 or so at track.. just start at 20 like john said then drop from there... u dont need to let anymore air out than u have to

I run 30 also on the street. I run anywhere from 14-18 psi at the track depending on how well the track hooks. 16 psi seems to give me my best times.

Start off high as everyone said. If they don't hook, bring them down. Remember to do a nice burnout. Don't listen to people at the track who tell you to run them at 12psi. I ran mine real low one time, and I did not like the way the car felt at 100 MPH at all!

Thanks for all the help. Soon I'll be off to the track to practice and set some new best times. This site is so much better and more helpfull than ls1.com.

28 street and 17 track. 15 psi, and one of my tires started moving on the rim. I ran tubeless even though they are tube-type tires.

Default Re: ET Streets

I run 15 psi cold in my et streets on the track, and about 20-25 on the street on my nova, and it has a decent track suspension set-up with front and rear drag shocks and no front sway bar. Running more psi in them usually wears out the centers in mine, and I can usually get 150-165 runs from a set of 26 x 11.5 x 15 on 8 inch rims.

I have a 6spd and was running mine at 18 psi and the car was bogging. I try 20 psi or so..
