6 years old and , maybe I missed it but I do not remember seeing drilled and slotted rotors. All dimensions are the same from what I saw so you would think that they have to weigh less and that's unsprung rotational weight.

... anybody weighed the JEGS GS-1 leather racing seats by chance? Took 100 pounds off and out of the car over the weekend. About all the free mods I want to do away with. Starting with wallet mods, seats seem to be about the best weight reduction for the money spent. Anybody know what they weight?

If they are a nice looking leather seat then they will save you basically no weight.

I dont know what they look like though.

Many of the nicer corbeau seats are the same weight as factory seats.

How much integrity is lost by removing the bumper supports and brackets? Do they effect the crash rating? I want to get a little lighter but not at the cost of safety, I'm street driven.

I really hope that you plan to put some stuff back in there.I really wouldn't think that would pass tech inspection either. That looks really bad...

It was mentioned earlier in the thread, it's about the same as a stock Z28 hood.

I daily drove my '00 without front or rear bumper supports for 4 years. From what I read from GM, they are only good for 5-15 mph accidents. I removed them on my new car as well.

You can remove the bag and still have the cover on the dash , it will look un touched . PS the bag just bolts in , comes out vary easy.

I weighed my stock 98 steel tank and it's only 22.5 lbs dry without the fuel pump assembly in it. So there is NO way a 99+ plastic tank is going to save you 18 lbs like stated on here.

From what I recall the SS hood is 54lbs.

Stock replacment rotors. Listed weight for shipping off
http://www.partsamerica.com

Wearever BRAKE ROTOR
Part Number: YH145150 $29.88 Ships in 1 business day (20.50 lbs.)

Raybestos Brake Rotor: Aimco-GS
Part Number: 56641RGS $26.88 Ships in 1 business day (18.00 lbs.)

The listed weights of AZ Duralast, and Valuecrap was 20-21#'s. Both in the cheap price range under $30. The Raybestos is not store stocked, so a store can't get them. Online orded factory home shipped only. But Ground shipping was free, I orded a set of the 56641RGS. I'll weight them and see if they are 18#s, The YH145150 (20.5) Im gona check that weight to. Five pounds in not a huge weight difrence, but its also rotional. I need front brakes anyway, so why not.

And just making this posted I noticed this.
Bendix Brake Rotor Bendix
Part Number: 145150 $103.99 Ships in 1 business day (12.00 lbs.)

No Idea about them? I'm not spending the $$$ to find out if thats a missprint. I don't see were that weight is gone from too, stock replacment non vented?
