Poll: For NFRA 'Bolt-on' Folks Only
https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...c&f=5&t=000038
in it's entirity and VOTE on whether you prefer an index class approach like the one I proposed with no car rules or NFRA policing required, or the Bob Cosby car class rules approach with NFRA policing required.
Which would you rather compete in?
A) heads up index as I have proposed it.
B) heads up strict class rules racing as Bob Cosby has proposed it.
C) Something totally different. (please give us a suggestion with this response)

LOL. Uh...no bias here...
Golly...think someone that likes the class racing might do what you did, except in reverse? Hmmmm....
Index approach: handicapped start, can't break out, in other words - another bracket race.
or
Class rules racing: Both cars leave at the same time, and he/she who gets to the other end first, wins.
The point to my post? At least tell the pro's AND the cons of BOTH sides. You made it out like the index format was all good with no bad, and the class racing was all bad with no good. Like I said...rather obvious bias.
FWIW...the class racing is hardly my idea - I was just providing suggestions on how it could be done, if the NFRA folks decide to go that route.
Tell you what...I don't even own and F-body anymore, so I will cease my input, 'vote' for your idea, and you can win and maybe the NFRA will have your index race.
Have fun.

Bob,
First off, as the topic reads, this is a poll for NFRA bolt-on folks only.
Second. The index racing is heads-up, not a handicap start as you put it. The only part that has an index handicap start is the race between ALL of the index class WINNERS for bragging rights. So get YOUR facts straight.
Thrid. I directed everyone to the original thread and told them to read it in its entirity. They can see all of advantages and disadvantages of both from that thread. I was merely summarizing.
Folks, lets please keep the non-vote related comments in the post I gave the link to above. I want to reserve this post for VOTES ONLY, it is a poll. TIA

Oh, I'm sorry. I missed the 'bolt-on folks' only.
Have a nice event.

That's OK Bob, feel free to post in the other non-poll thread about this.
I don't think its going to fair for 6spd if its a heads up class. Auto will kill them every time.

Moose, check out this thread:

I think it will explain everything.
[quote]index approach: no teardowns, racing against cars that run close to what you do.
or
class rules racing: teardowns, racing against cars that maybe 1 to 1.5 seconds quicker than you.
