need help wiring power windows

Default need help wiring power windows

long story short, gutted entire car and now need to hard wire my windows. I dont need the pass side switches wired, ill control them from drivers side. Iv heard about running 4 relays, one for up, one for down and same for pass side motor, dont know if this is true or not? Its a '94z and heres the stuff im working with. One is the plug on the switch and the 2 plugs are the plugs for the motors....

Man you screwed up if you ditched the factory door harness its so easy with the factory stuff its unreal and no unnecessary wires once u strip the other **** from the doors. Its literally clipping one wire and putting it to power and they work

No relays needed. Google "reverse polarity"

technically i did but i have the harness in a box, i could go through it and find what i need. However with the pigtails cut off itll be hard to find especially not knowing what it looks like.

shouldnt be hard to find it be the smaller harness with some heavy brown blue tan and black wires and a single small black box hanging off of it and should have a long flat plug that went to the steering column clip the brown wire from that and put it to power. connect your motor wires pigtails back and hook up the black ground and done

This is good info to know. I'm about to ditch the majority of my stock wiring and was worried about the power windows As well.

I can tell you how I did it, get a dpdt switch. wire power to the center lugs of the switch, then tie the 2 sides of the switch together so polarity will be reversed when you hit the switch in one direction vs the other.

One set of wires to the windows, simply supply power to the switch center lugs. Fuse it for 25 amps, so if something shorts out it will pop the fuse. Done deal.

I put 2 switches under my seat on a bracket to control the windows, this way they are easily reachable, without trying to mount something in a carbon/flat door skin, and it's one less thing to have on the dash.
