i have only run twice so far but i can already tell you that with stock tires your better off slipping the clutch i think. if you dump it you will just light it up through first without drag radials. i tried launching only from 2400 and i spun like a ****.

cheers

Roll off a little bit and then dump the clutch. 2500+ dump will spin the tires easily unless you have drags. I tried to dump the clutch from multiple RPMs and recieved very crappy 60' times.

you can try it but there is a fine line between bogging out and spinnign in these cars with stock tires. Either way, Good luck. Report back and let us know your 60's and ET's please. I am trying to get a feel for my SS at the track so any feedback is good!!!!

well i ran it today and i was happy...2.2 60ft with a 13.78 went through the top end with it hitting the rev limiter and ran a 103 mph.....that was the first run, after that i had the tech guy come over and tell me that i cant run that fast with a convert without a roll bar...so i had to sandbag it so i just short shifted and fender raced the guy...14.09 and i lost, he ran right on his dial in
i launched it at 1800 and i think that was the sweet spot for it,i had the stock tires at 24lbs and the traction was good, not bad for the first time down the track with this car,oh btw my reaction time was .607 on the first and .584 on the second....thanks for all the good info,it defiatally helped

Ran my car this past weekend, first time, ended up with a bunch of 2.5 ish 60 foots with the best light of a .341, which is crap, but one thing that I do know, I have zero traction, and the car generally sucks out of the hole. Every car I ran had at least 1 car in me by the end of first gear. Wasn't much fun trying to run down every car at the track. Best I ended up with was a 13.60 at 108.4, the power's there, but as I stated, from a stop, this car sucks. 12 bolt/4.30 gears/spec 3 clutch/e/t/streets/drag shocks, here I come. I saw at least 10 cars yesterday that probably had 100 less Hp to the tires than I have, running the same or better times, disgusting really.
