Justin, running on motor and running on nitrous are two different types of loading on the T56. You do not need rev-limiter dumps on nitrous, and you should be shifting it earlier on nitrous (around 6K) for best results.

With even a 100-shot, you could dump the clutch at 3500 rpm and if the nitrous activates, you will cut some low 1.5X 60' times on your slicks. It actually feels "softer" than dumping a clutch at 6500+ rpm. Try it and see, nitrous launches on slicks are simple.

Mine went out with 4 passes at the track and minimal abuse...I wasn't even hard on it...

I can't get a warranty and I don't feel like rebuilding it...

Thanks guys, I already have a window switch. I was just seeing if it would be ok to launch on NO2.
Tony, that helps a lot. Its gonna be hard to keep from reving it up to redline like normal though! So the stress on the drivetrain between a 6k+ NA launch and a 3500 NO2 launch shouldnt be a huge difference should it? I guess I'll be ok as long as I can be good a keep the rev low on the launch. I also bought a 5800 rpm shift light pill for NO2 runs.

As a testament to how much easier it is to launch on nitrous without busting something, take the old MTI shop Z28 as an example. It cut 1.41 60' times on the stock rearend with 3.42s and leaving at only 3000 rpm!

That nitrous makes your motor appear HUGE and the torque that it brings will definitely move that car off the line in a hurry.

PS, I typically cut 1.62 average 60' times in my car when dumping the clutch at only 4500 rpm. Think of how much torque a nitrous setup makes over my N/A 382ci motor. I haven't been able to dump this motor at 6K rpm without spinning yet....

I snapped my driveshaft in half on motor the other day and ordered a Denny's nitrous ready shaft. With my Cartek clutch, Denny's driveshaft, and Moser 12 bolt, the 6 speed should be the weak link. I think it should hold up to the motor runs (stock internal) but I'm not sure about the nitrous runs. It dynoed 515 but the graph looks like the tires were slipping and the curve shoud really peak ~475, that is a TNT 100 RWHP shot with 900-1000 PSI.
I'm thinking I should be ok if I hit the nitrous at about the 60' and don't spray through the shifts. I really wanna spray out of the hole though! That will also be kinda hard to flip a switch while shifting gears, I need a button on my shift ****. Need some help here.

You should think about a MSD RPM switch. Let that do the work.
