Ill be the big man and admit I sent Joe the e-mail.

I stand by my words that you should cut these guys a little slack and try and suggest some modifications to the rules instead of flat being an *** about the whole situation.

And Bo has a long list of drag racing cridentials. He is the last person on any automotive board on the web I'd question. He is a hell of a guy.

Guido I made my suggestions.... Leave the rules like they were and move the race to LA. or Tx..


Bob and his credentials....I don't dought that Bob is a smart man but up until three years ago I had never heard of him. I know he jumped into a soft class in one of the Ford racing series and won his class in two or three races and I give him congrats on that. Since a rule change he hasn't won any. He stated in a post on the corral about a month ago that he was not going to run in Factory Stock next year. Could it have been because of the rule change favoring the 5.0 cars???

Guido I would question Warren Johnson if he was on this board. Just because you read a name in a paper or magazine it don't mean they know what they are talking about. Most of the time it's because a magazine writer didn't have anything else to write about.

Oh well, my dragracing experience is very limited
so to keep me from making a fool out of myself I'll never question Bob again.

LOL. Joe, you've likly been racing longer than I've been alive (37 years).

I am racing next year, and it will likely be in the Cobra, as my other two ideas aren't looking too good (I was going to drive another guys car, or hopefully get my 88 Coupe going for the class...ain't gonna happen). I didn't want to race the Cobra again cause I am literally going to tear it up. But hey, if I want to race this year, its the only game in my town. NMRA gave me back half of that rule change they made last year (50 lbs)...hopefully that will help a bit.

And I have no doubt you'd question Warren Johnson. You'd probably question yourself if you could figure out how to do it. It goes back to always wanting things his way, and to hell with everything and anybody else. All for one and one for Joe...we know. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

My perception is that the ballgame doesn't suit you, so you're doing what you can to kill/hurt it. I'm sorry if my perception is wrong.

NMCA/NSCA/Whatever it is called this year has nothing for me but brackets (EFI is a glorified bracket race - nothing wrong with that, but tis what it is). I'll be attending enough NMRA races this year, so I'll likely pass.

Could it be that you don't like the Factory Stock rules this year. You know what Bob I don't like the NFRA rules (as proposed) for this year so if they stay as proposed I won't be racing either. You could run in the open comp class and you would be supporting the sport like I'm gonna do running in the NMCA/NSCA series.

My comments were pointed at the NFRA. I was saying, in jest, that unless the NFRA has a class for Cobra's, I won't be racing. Get it? I am not racing NMCA/NSCA because I am going to do a full season of NMRA.

For your info, the 2002 NMRA rules are almost a carbon copy of the 2001 NMRA rules - except I get to drop 50 lbs. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Honestly Bob I do wish Chris and John success. They changed the rules of the game so since I don't care for the rules I'll just find another game.

Bob I'm not a politically correct or sensitive person. I have no agenda to promote. I don't own a web site as you do so unlike you I get to say what I want to. Chris and John are good guys but other than the NFRA I have never done any business with either one of them other than maybe talking to John on the phone a couple of times.

So you see I really don't owe them my attendence at the race. If they make the race to my likeing I'll attend, if not I'll do something else. It's my money.

I'm going NMCA/NSCA EFI racing and PRO open comp racing next season. In fact I think I'm going to the Petersburg Va. race. You should make the race if you can.
