Did george break the H/C 346CI record???
I believe u have the QUICKEST H/C car in the Country now George?
Kinda bitter sweet but I KNOW u have a killer short block waiting in the wings...Send me an email about your opinion of 6600 to 6700 shift points an what your doing to a stock short block as I have my own ideas also and will be building one soon.

Oh wait he had aftermarket pistons does the exclude him from the H/C list as the Quickest?
IMO I say no since its still a 346CI
I know alot of guys shifting at 660 w/NO PROBLEMS.
But George is correct,Stock short blocks vary and I'm building a killer 346CI this spring just ot be safe.

JS, what do you want to know? I'm not planning anything too much out of the ordinary for the next motor, but it will be a little stronger than this last one was.
I can't say for sure that the rpms are what killed the motor, but I know it was at least a factor.
Next engine will probably be a stock block/crank, Lunati pro-mod rids, JE pistons w/gapless 2nd ring...
I shifted the car all of last year at 6600-6700 with no problems, and made a lot of passes down the dragstrip. Maybe it was going away then, maybe not. The only "engine" part I changed from last year is the cam.

George u and I think alike.
I'm gonna build the same type of setup w/added CR too...
Good luck
I wont be shifting higher than 6600 so I think I'll be okay for a while...
