FMS Solid Roller Setup Madien Voyage@HRP
Just made 3 shake down runs, didn't remove the exhaust, passenger seat or the air filter, just uncaped the cut-out.
Raceweight was 3550 lbs.
The motor is still 346 cid & the T-56 M6 tranny is still in there as well.
1st run: 11.37 @ 123.63 mph 1.739 60', left the light at 5000 rpm and being that HRP was hooking rather well I bogged the motor bad on that launch.
2nd run: 11.27 @ 123.41 mph 1.632 60', left the light at 6000 rpm this time, it hooked, the wheels came up, I freaked , then gathered my thoughts and continued down the track.
3rd run: 11.06 @ 124.00 mph 1.530 60', left the line this time at 6500 rpm. It hooked, I went!
Still got some tweaking to do on the tuning but
I'm extremely please with how the car runs now, and especially how it leaves the line...straight, level, and wheels up in the air!
Allan Futral of Futral Motorsports in Walker, LA. 225-791-9593, did all the work on the car.
Here's the list of what was done.
-FMS Solid roller cam
-FMS/Meaux ported LS1 heads 2.055/1.600 valves
-11.5:1 cr
-T&D rockers 1.7 ratio / Crane lifters, etc etc...
-Dry Sump Oiling system
-36 lb. injectors
-85 mm GM truck MAF
-Allan modified my G-Hann headers to make them into 2 step headers 1 3/4 ~ 1 7/8, then added a set of Dyna Tech 3" Drag collectors.
-FMS Custom 3" ORP & a 3.5" cut-out
-3.5" Mufflex exhaust
-PA Chromoly K-member & Lower A-arms
-V6 rear springs
-Random Tech Adj. Torque arm
-BMR Adj. Chromoly LCA's
-4.56 gears
-Removed the Brembos from the front and put the stock calipers back on.
-Bogart wheels, 28x10.50-15 ET Drags, & ET Fronts for up front.
There is alot more that was done, dry sump plumbing and such, also alot of fabing had to be done to make things fit and soforth, but Allan did it all! I highly recommend him.
Thanks Allan!
I also have a bunch of pictures taken during the build up, but..........SOMEBODY needs to download them from my camera and post them here!

Richie,
I have Wiseco pistons and they have valve reliefs cut into them already. BTW the lift of my cam is .680/.680 and I shift at 7000 rpm. I had the short block done up a little over year ago by More Performance, B&B, stock displacement, Wiseco pistons, Lunati Pro Mod Rods 6.125", Fedral Mogle Coated main bearings, Stock crankshaft & LS1 block cryogenicly treated.
Then I had Allan do the top end of the motor and other stuff as well.
George,
Yes I still have the 98 heads with the perimeter bolts, I got lucky and got a prototype set of spacers from Judson that they made to do some fittment testing. Thanks to Joe Kizzire I was able to get my hands on that set.

Why not NPR? Hell they have as good a track as HRP and they are only 45 minutes from BR, not 4.5 hours like HRP.

LOL
I wish!
Very good runs Gordon! Glad to see you back in action again.
Oh yeah, what is your full list of drivetrain/suspension mods? I really need that 1.52X short time to get me into the 10s. 4.56 gears must feel awesome in a 6-speed! What rpm were you crossing the traps in?
