Help me get traction....
I am stationed in Germany and my best times to date are:
RT - .539
60ft - 2.3
1/8 ET - 8.81
1/8 mph - 89.5
This was on a poor track with me spinning through 2 gears and slightly into 3rd. What I want to know is what would be the best bang for my $$$. My car is being shipped to Atlanta in the morning and I want to have some traction when I hit the track. I already have Poly Torque Arm Bushing, Lower Control Arms w/relocation Brackets.....
Should I do tires? (Running Kuhmos now)
Should I do a Torque Arm? (Stock now with bushing)
Should I do something like springs or shocks?(Have Jamex 1.5" drop w/stock decarbons)
Thanks for your input and please provide links if applicable.....
usually when you lower a car you change the pinion angle to a positvie number which is BAD for traction.
i dont think you need an adjustable torque arm to fix it, you might. that is the first thing you should do
Then if the pinion angle is OK...the best bang for the buck would probably be
A)if you wanted some good traction on a spare set of rims, get some 26" ET Streets
B)if you wanted to use some nice tires on your stock rims, buy some NITTOS. They last a long time and hook like a **** as long as you heat them up and air them down at the track. They are also great in the rain (as long as they have tread on them). BFG's are stickier but dont last no where near as long as nittos. I have friends with over 8,000miles on a set of nittos. I haven't heard of many over 3,000 miles IF THAT on some daily driven BFGs
hope this was what you were looking for
