Manual windows and MWC cage

Has anyone used a MWC 8 point (or any 8 point) with a manual window car? Trying to figure out how bad if at all the door bars interfere with the window cranks before I order one. They haven't put one in a manual window car, already asked.

Just open the door to roll it down. Why is that so hard? Do you want a race car or a daily driver? Convenience isn't something that is thought about when going fast.

Why not design your race car for the best of both worlds. Who wants to race a cut up sh#% box anyway?

I have a wolfe 6 point with low slung removable door bars, never had an issue.

After looking at some more pics we have determined that it will work. I never said I didn't want to open the doors. just didn't want it to cross down the center of the crank handle

I did some research once and it seems the electronic window components are lighter than the manual components. I just kept mine electronic.

My electric window up and stop working Sunday as I was rolling into the water box. Never acted up before. Luckily it would go up about an inch at a time if I let it sit for a couple of minutes. Finally got it up or I was going home early. Replaced the motor today. If I had the choice it would be manual windows for me.

Care to share this research?
I'm doing a manual conversion in my drag car, I'd say the regulators are the same weight then add the motors & all the wiring.

I don't have a data book that I wrote on the subject so no, I don't have research to share.

It was a while ago, but I distinctly remember when searching for the info seeing several guys comment that the electronic regulators where near the same or less weight than the mechanical ones.

Being that I started with electric, I just left it at that. I'm sure that information does not apply to every car. I was looking at late model truck ****.
