Default Rules of the game

Ok Ive ran my car on the drag stip 3 times, only day i've took my car to the track, So i pretty much ignort about the track. My fastest time was a pethetic 14.4 @101 (like i said first time).

Now i just bought a turbo charger and am going t learn how to drive on the track. Im not going to be using slicks, just some nittos, in an attemt to prolong the life of my stock rearend (untill i can afford a stronger one).
Im hoping to run an 12.0. Before i didnt have to worry about safty (roll cage safty harness, helmet)

I know there are certain speeds the track enforces safty rules, SO CAN SOMBODY TELL ME WHAT THEY ARE. Like roll chage for faster then a 11.99. what happens if you dont got one and you go under? stuff like that i want to know. I realy dont want to put a roll chage in right now for several resons, but there is a possabilty i might go lower then a 11.99.

thanks for any info you can give me.

To run under a 12.0 you need a 5 point roll bar, 5 way harness, and a fireproof jacket. You need a helmet if you run under a 14.0.
If you run an 11 you get a warning usually then get kicked out on your next run. Sometimes you get the boot right away though.

Also once you hit 12's you must have a drive shaft safety loop. If you use sticky tires than you need one once you're in the 13's

Also, when you hit 11s, you must have only factory or under 35% tint on windows and screw-in valvestems on your wheels. These are NHRA rules, so apply them best you can to your local track.

and dont forget about the wheel studs. when you run slicks, they must stick out the same distance as the diameter of the stud. which means you have to have open lugnuts. if you run 1/2 inch studs, they must stick out 1/2 inch from the end of the lugnut.

Seriously?! Does anyone actually check for that? I really don't want to 'un-tint', has anyone here ever not been passed because of tint? Mine is extemely tinted!
