Had a pretty good time at Steele yesterday.
For portions of the day the track seemed to be hooking pretty darn good (there are videos and a NICE pic of Colonel's awesome wheelstand - soon to be online).
I hope there were some good times posted!

Yup, we had a GREAT time yesterday!
I got the pic of the wheelstand scanned. Now I just need someone to host it for me. Any volunteers?

Had a great time yesterday!! It was great seeing everyone again! Sorry to hear about your torque converter Kristi.
I managed to repeat my best time, 11.721, but could not better it. However, after replacing a bad O2 sensor, and tuning the car, I did manage to run six 116.6 mph passes.
That's an improvement of almost 1.5 mph from last fall. My 60' times were way off with a best being 1.64. My five year old slicks are shot and my Torsen is doing one-legged burn outs. So with some new slicks and clutch posi unit, I should be able to get my 60' time down to 1.54 where it should be. I figure that a 1.54 60' time will put me around 11.57@116.5 mph.

The headcount is in... over SIX HUNDRED tickets were sold for Saturday's race. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported it. The crew at Steele is chomping at the bit to do another one
Colonel- nothing's happened yet. The problem is incessant now. I haven't driven the car in over 3 weeks. I'm installing another converter Wednesday and sending my ST3500 back to Mike with a note attached to either fix it or throw it away because I don't want to see it again if he's not going to warranty it.

Great turnout, excellent weather, and fast cars!
I had a blast, even though now I have a terrible sunburn...
Seems our little gatherings are becoming somewhat successful. Thanks to all those who travelled from hours (and states) away to race. I think a good time was had by all!

I had a great time as well. Got to meet Colonel and Jhelms. Unfortunately I didnt get to talk with either as much as I would have liked. I did see Harlans 2-step on Colonels car and tried to snag it but Colonel pulled a damn wheelie during his escape!!
Lots of fbodies and we even got some tv coverage.
My highlight was beating Joe Kizzere while we were being taped. He wasn't running in full race mode and even then I only got him because of R/T but still it does the heart good to get to run with some of the big dawgs. There were very few delays and the weather was beautiful. After I got the win light against Joe, I come around with my "crew" all excited. I jump out of the car and think I'm about to get all kinds of praise. Instead I get, "Holy **** did you should have seen Colonels car launch!!!!" Great time had by all and can't wait for the next one. Jhelms we gotta chat sometime. You seem like a supernice guy!

Thanks man - same here. My driveshaft is here and hopefully I'll have it put on this week.
You going to the GAFBA shootout in Reynolds?

[off-topic] No, but that could be because he's made no effort to get back in touch with me after missing me at work once 3 weeks ago.
Since NOTHING was mentioned on his website about a) not running MAF ends, b) having to use ATF fluid, or c) having to use this additive with his products, I STILL feel like he should repair my converter under warranty. If my converter clutch lining has come apart, which is what my ASE GM transmission specialist says has happened, I can add crap all day long but there's still excessive clutch material in my transmission, clogging everything up. If Yank wants to blame me (and the other 50+ people out there with ST3500 problems) for what's going on, he needs to have the "correct" usage of Yank products readily available to potential customers. I have the VHS tape of the newscast that showed your launch. This weekend, I'm taking it to a guy in the BFBA who can take it and put it on the net. I'll post it when it's done.

Thanks everybody for showing up to another BFBA event. I am glad everybody had a good time. Keep your eyes and ears open for the next BFBA event.
Keep your calanders open for our upcoming car shows. We will be doing two this year, an all open show and a F-Body only show.
Thanks again and it was great meeting everybody!!
