Yea, I was informed wrong about that, I am looking at it myself right now.
7:50 AM DA is -1567
8:50 DA is -1075
9:50 DA is -1069
10:50 DA is -792
11:50 DA is -637
12:50PM DA is -603
1:50 DA is -689
2:50 DA is -655
The DA was not 0 either so I guess we were both wrong ON that.
Anyway I am not questioning JUDSON's run I was just poiting out to someone that you do not have to make changes to run faster. Note, I also pointed out about the worse track conditions. I am just trying to keep people straight on what is what. Like the person earlier about him having a manual TRANNY, I pointed out that the A3 trannys are also manual shifting.

Congrats to the SAM guys. I heard they had cracked off a badass run over the weekend.
Dave... Tell Judson to mount that camera back inside the car for one of those 9 second passes

Thank Bro, but the S.A.M. is to be commended. THEY have the number to beat now. My name should not even be brought up in this thread. Sure, I'll go faster than this before long, and then they (or maybe even someone else) will probably go faster than me again, and then I'll...etc, etc, etc,....

Word is going around that a old fat man was at SAM turning some wrenches and before he went back home he put on his "Father Guido"
outfit, blessed the car, sprinkled some Marvil Mystery Oil around the car and said " This Orange Pig is gonna go now!!!!!! I wonder who that was?????

Mr. Tums...I'm aware that TH350's are manually shifted But I think it's harder for manual trannies because they don't put down as much torque out of the whole as those A3's, plus I would think even with shifting A3's are more consistent

Congrats guys , Excellent effort I know there is a lot more to come with SAM, and projects assosiated with them. If you want to go to a school to learn how to build Hi performance engines there is no substitute.

They have the GEARING advantage to make up for the TQ difference produced by the converter. This means the MANUAL tranny applies TQ more efficently and achieves the same results. You have to remember that only what is being applied to the ground counts. If they did not then JUDSON would not be able to cut the same 60' Times as COLONEL on his TH350.
EDIT ahhh you are shifting both the consistantcy would depend on the driver.

Congrats Judson, Linda, Brian and the entire S.A.M. crew! I've never seen a more enthusiastic group of gearheads like their pit crew. Judson and Linda run a first-class operation and it shows from their proect results and the skill level of their graduates.

Well, funny you mention that, but in a way they do sell to the public. Wise shops (like MTI) hire some of their most talented graduate machinists and head porters. These guys are good!
Damn, I miss all the cool threads when I go buy a new truck
Hey Judson, register on our site and tell us your thoughts!

Hey Colonel,
I think we are just a little partial to you. (and a few others) I love to see people achieve there goals and thrill us in the reading of the feat. But... Like it or not.... some of us live vicariously through some of our site administrators. At least until we get our cars going that fast.
I'll tell you what if there was a school I would want to attend it would be SAM that is for sure.

I'm sure the Colonel has some more tricks up his sleeve! Maybe 9.50s will be here sooner than people thought?

I wonder if enrollment at SAM would increase if Judson was a sponsor here ( ). Gotta admit we have a ton of gearheads that might want to take his courses just for their own knowledge.

muahahaha! You can always count on Stephen to be working on new upgrades. I know of a few on the drawing board and in progress right now.

You have to have something going on in order to keep up with the SAM's crew. That is what makes it fun.
