Nytmare: I always refer to race weight as the weight with me in the car on the scale at the track. I always go by the weight of the car as it goes down the track.

Yes that is why it is raceweight.
Raceweight includes everything right down to the 30 lb nitrous boddle some of us use.
BTW when my car was as heavy as a pig, weighing just over 3500 lbs and I add a extra 200 I ran 10.7's at 129-130 and only dynoed 525 running a little juice.
Also while only making 360 RWHP all motor I went 11.7.
This is with a 3600 Yank and 4L60E.

My 224 H/C setup isnt all that bad.
I could add more cam and add another 10RW,throw a lsx/90 mm tb for an additional 15 and be right around 435RW threw an A4.

Sounds like I'm right with you - I'm at 3,600 headed for a minimum of 3475 when I finish my weight mods. I was hoping for 10's on motor too, but don't think I'm gonna make it. We are going to try another converter soon to get my 60's in the 1.4's, but I don't think I'm gonna make it without porting my heads.
I decided I'm not gonna spend any more money (after the weight mods) to try and make it on motor - if I don't get it this fall, I'll break out the bottle.

This is the setup as it was when we were strugglin for low 11s. We just added a spool with 4.10s and the Strange Lightweight brakes, and 1 lightweight non adjustable racing seat.
Setup is as follows:
!ac
!front sway bar
396 Stroker
Strange 12 bolt 4.30s (now a spool with 4.10s)
TCI TH400 B&M Ratchet Shifter
TCI4400Stall
Transbrake
BMR 32mm Drag sway bar
BMR Xtreme Duty Torque Arm
BMR Adjustable tubular Lower Control Arms
BMR Lightweight K-member
QA1 shocks (front and back)
BMR adjustable Panhard Rod
Bogarts with 28.5 Hoosiers out back and skinnies up front
BMR subframe connectors
I think thats about it, probably something I left out.

What is your rev limiter set at?
What rpm are you shifting at?
What rpm are you leaving off the tranz-brake?

With the 4.30 gears I would say that you need a 29.5 to a 30 inch tire so you don't hit the rev limiter. You will be better off with the 4.10's and the 28 inch tall slicks.

And about the 60 foot thing, thats what me and my dad have been trying to figure out. How in the hell can we be pullin 1.39 60 foot times and still not be gettin atleast 6.90s in the 1/8th. I dunno if you saw my post in the Dyno section or not, but with the 6speed we made 504 and after we put the TH400 in we only made 420rwhp so we lost 84rwhp with the TH400, but gained about 40 rwtq

IMO, Running out of gear in the 1/4 didn't hurt the 1/8 mile times. I have alot of 1/8 mile data and Even when I was running 11.20's in the 1/4, I ran high 7.0's to very low 7.teens in the 1/8.
We need to know about the convert and trans set up to help ya out.

What exactly do you need to know about the tranny and converter? All I know off the top of my head is its at 4400TCi converter and a TCI TH400
