Default 2 step question?

Ive got a 10 bolt and I was wondering if I would break it using it. I would only be launching out at around 1300 RPMs on a A4. I figured it would last as long as I dont get crazy with it.

TIA

hmm....tough call...while 1300 is low, you get hella flash from you converter (if its anything like mine) at only 1300rpm. What converter do you have and what do you brake stall it to as of now?

Its all a crap shoot with the 10bolt. I am launching at 5500 on et streets with a m-6. Thats a definite recipe for KABOOM! It will go and I'm prepared for that. A-4 seems to fair much better so maybe it will last you awhile but be prepared for it to break

while the verter will absorb some shock...having it at WOT and flipping a switch at the green will definately be harder on it than foot stalling it up. i was asking where you stall it to at the track now, if you have the converter in there currently. if i can get one for under a hundred bucks, it be a great way to stay consistent and get great flash out of the converter. hmmmm.

I do have it in the car right now. I also leave the light at 1300 at the track. I just want to be able to get a good flash out of the converter like you said.

I had a 3200 vig and I was able to foot stall it to about 2500. with the 10 bolt 373 gears and ET DRAGS. Never had a prob.

So what would be the advantage of using a two step on a non-trans braked A4?

Good question. I think it would only help us get the full flash of the converter (Vig) and let us leave at WOT. But I might be wrong. Im still learning.

the only benifits i can see are a) consistency. and b) having it at WOT when you flip that switch to kill the low limiter. therefore letting it flash mush quicker. we just have to make sure we have PLENTY of tire under there. just that would be worth a hundreth or two in the 60' i think.
