I barely use ice so far. I think on 5 passes I used 4 very small bags and barely seen 130 iats on any of the passes.
You probably need to get that seat secured to the cage and really cinch down on your harness before a pass, you move around a lot when the car gets moving and at the stripe! Hate to see anyone get hurt!
I didn't notice until it was mentioned but I used these to mount my seats to the cross bar. https://www.googleadservices.com/pag...Qwg8ILg&adurl= Got mine from Summit but that's the first link I found. Used them and 1" square tubing that way I could adjust if needed. I will say it's a little claustrophobic feeling the first time you strap in with a good solid seat.

You are right. These seats are actually out of a honda civic. They are really comfortable so Ive left them in there. I have a brand new kirkey at the house I will mount for next season.

Thanks for the link! That is a good plan. As I told dude above. I will get the kirkey in the car over winter. I have to make it a little more race car over winter. Id like to get another 100-150 out of the car somehow.
when trying to position the Kirkeys I found using a piece of 1-1/2" pvc to support the back really helped me, doing it by myself. I notched the end just like a roll bar tube and cut to the length I thought I'd need and taped it to the cross bar with painters tape. When I had it positioned where I wanted I drilled 2 holes through the seat and into the rear seat support. Then reamed the holes in the seat support to fit a flanged nut in upside down and welded it fast. My passanger Kirkey need to be shimmed up 2" in the back for the front to clear the hump in the floor.
Man, I tell you. Im not one for bragging but I am overly happy with it. Its a pretty good feeling going pass after pass. Driving the car back to the pits without issues. Especially trapping over 165mph.
The satisfaction I get when I see all these other guys doing 1/8 mile hits or even the whole 1/4 and they are waiting at the end to be pushed back by a golf cart makes me really appreciate what I have. Nitrous guys going a close to the same ET but a few less mph. Across the strip putting in $15 a gallon fuel, changing plugs and bottles. Im over here on facebook not even popping my hood for the day. It is pretty cool. I used 4 bags of ice in the 2 days of racing friday and saturday. Only because I brought it with me. Filled the cell 3 times just to be sure there was fuel in there.
Then woke up sunday and cruised town for a while.
Even caught in the rain 10 mins from home. Hurried up and threw the tops on and power windows went up
I cant wait until next season. Ill get the suspension figured out a little better and really lean on the car. Im expecting some mid 7's and 185 traps as a goal.

Yes! Unfortunately the summer has flown by! But I will be able to clean up a few things that i rushed without needing to completely rebuilding the car.
Coilovers, new tires, and possibly putting I beams in the engine in case **** happens. I currently have h beams and Ive seen people go fast with them but not sure its worth the risk.
Anyways Ill try to get a little more weight out of the car and tie up some loose ends!
I cant wait to cut some 1.2x and max out this turbo.
I figured since I was done racing this year. Id Drive the car to the dyno and atleast get some numbers.
Made 1,280 on 24.5 psi with 15 degrees of timing(trapped the 174 n 13 degrees)
MAde 1,350 on 27.8 psi and 15 degrees and finally reached the near end of these twin AEM 380lph.
