I Decided to go to Street car takeover in Bradenton since I had to go and pick my car back up lol
So I threw on a set of Et Pros for the street racer class. Tci overflow since I was using a soda bottle. Spent a whopping 10 hours making the menscer coilovers fit with the quick performance shock mounts and such. That was shitty. But in the end it made it easier.

Headed to orlando for a friday night test and tune. First pass off the trailer. Think I fixed the traction issue

My buddy Michael actually bumped me out of the street racer class in the white Speedline Camaro. I knocked the tires off right behind Bob Stuller knocking the tires off, followed by Justin Jordan Knocking the tires off in the right lane. After Justin they decided to prep.

So back to test and tune I go. Couple clicks here and there and BOOM!

5.5 psi on the 2 step. slooow ramp on boost in first. 15 psi at 6,000. 21 at 7,000 and 24 at 8,000 so obviously only for a brief second shifting at 8,150
24.5 psi in 2nd ramping to 26.6 by 7,600 rpm crossing the traps.

I was gun shy because the track was hit or miss with so many ********* testing their ford and dodge trucks with big tires in between rounds. I didnt even bother trying to 60 harder.
Im more then happy with the progress. Now when summer comes I will knock it down into the 1.1's and add more boost.

To top it off a buddy of mine asked me to sell my engine after the half mile event and I declined due to reliability.
This weekend he was much more for it and told me to name my price. I debated for some time but figured nahhhhh. Ill keep it.

Well he told me if I came down and trapped 175 or better he was buying that engine without my OK.

So I agreed to it ;0

lol right! It was a good buddy of mine who is a grudge racer. He was super excited to see how it ran in the half mile. Another guy mentioned me selling it to him and I took it as a joke but went with it.

My buddy messages me and says 'if that bitch clears 175 next weekend at SCT Im buying it"

I just responded, do you want to see 176 or how about 177?
Still only 26.6 psi peak and 12.5 degrees of timing.

I have made my decision.

I am going to do the Dart Lsnext aluminum Block with a little stronger rod then last time. I ordered the TEA 50 degree exhaust ported heads instead of just shelf units.

So 120lb loss from the front of the car.

I will plan to mini tub it and add the Opti rear. Shooting for 200 pound total loss.

Itll get me 3,000-3,050 race weight with me in it.
I am 235.

I want to get the car working on that same power and see 180+ and 4.7-4.80's.

I have a whole other level of confidence since swapping the shocks.

I WILL do 4.70's@150 and 7.50's at 185 by the time I finish out this next season.

EDIT: I really really hope I do anyways. lol. This is racing so I guess anything can happen but that is the goal!

Impressive build, and your dedication to the car gives all of us reassurance to throw caution to the wind with our builds. I was shocked when it went 8's....now 7's, damn.

Id say it was tough but it really wasnt too bad. I dont really make a lot of money. I worked at a computer store and finally quit. I worked 10 months last year and grossed 20k.
I just hustled my *** off after work and it all worked out.
If I can do it anyone can man! I just love the **** and have nothing else to live for lol.
