As sorry as I am to hear of this, I have to give you the well deserved props for not skipping a beat and keeping on like it was as simple as refilling the tank. Good for you..!

And I'm sure you'll get another enclosed when you're ready.. hell you may even have a nice diesel pusher to get you on those long trips and have somewhere nice to sleep while you're out.
You're definitely on a roll with all you have going on, KEEP IT UP!!!! You should be damn proud of yourself sir

Went to the track saturday and spun 8 for 8 passes before the 60 foot with a best of 1.34 ......
Lower bar angles on my last two settings were zero and 6/7 degrees. So I am raising he car back up to where I had it in the rear and leaving the nose slightly lower.

Main goal is to unfuck everything Ive done in the past 6 weeks listening to everyone else. When I get the car wheeling again Ill just add weight to counter them.

I changed way to much and pretty dissapointed with the results.

Sadly that was the only time I got the tires off the ground on 8 passes. It would spin at the hit, or withing 15-30 feet from. With the front struts tight it would sit still and spin on the line. With them loose it would just extend quickly and bring the front back down.

I know the answer before asking, and you're probably good--but what's your tire pressure set at?

Btw if I had listened to everyone else, I'd own a Cummins like all the other brodozers...sometimes the only thing that works is trial and error. You'll get it fingered!

I Usually run 17/18 psi. I tried 15-20 saturday. Car has always felt good around 17. I believe with such an aggressive rear bar angle. It was smashing the tire into the ground and I couldnt figure out how to control it.
Typically 2-3 degrees of rea lower control arm angle is good.

I had zero degrees or 6/7 degrees from bottom hole to my next one up at that ride height.

You can't lower the rear of these cars if you're running a radial. You need that anti squat % up fairly high to work well .

I have a ton of adjustement. I welded lowering brackets to my rear lca mounts on the axle. I had somewhere around 140% ant squat. It was whacking the tire. I just dont have the patience to spend 3-4-5 track trips to get it to hook again. So Im still unsure what Im going to do. I raised it a touch to get a sweeter spot.
Ive only ever ran 100-110% AS in the car in the past.

I just changed so much stuff that its hard to determine what direction I should go next. Sort of like a new car.
Lowered it
revalved shocks.
moved weight around
added 1.2-1.5% nose weight
moved the rear of my trans up about 2" to straighten driveshaft

I went last night for a whopping 3 passes and I think Ive decided after looking at videos that I am actually causing shock to the drivetrain when the front suspension settles. I have the limiters pretty tight with only 1.5 or so " of travel. If you watch close. As soon as the control arms come down and they bottom out on the limiters its pulling the car back down and then unloading.

Im going to add 2" of travel and see if that atleast gets the car on the rear tire longer. Ive been messing with shock settings too much to really get a good ground play.

The rear of the car is unloading, slow the video down to .25.
  • What is the rear spring rate, shock stroke and how much of the stroke is being used at resting ride height? .
  • What is the measurement from the rear wheel opening to the wheel lip at ride height?
  • What is your instant center height? (Front mount hole of the torque arm)

When scaling the car, how much fuel load do you have in the car? Work on getting the the car closer on the scales.
Here is my car with a full fuel load and 90lbs added to right rear and battery in the stock location. what a difference it made when the leaves.

Getting ready for my new NA 600hp.

Your car is impressive and now it is the small adjustments that are going to make it work.

Generally speaking when a car knocks the tires off after the launch say 60 to 80ft out its shock adjustment.

Ive mad 12 passes so far. rear compression between 2 and 5 from full tight. Extension from 12-22 from full tight. Zero changes made.
Front shocks at 12 compression the entire time and anywhere from zero to 21 on the rebound side. The only thing I havent done is give it more travel up front.
Which I didnt think about until after I left.
Mostly because before it would wheelie with limiters completely tight.

Your car is impressive and now it is the small adjustments that are going to make it work.

The shocks have been the same shocks in the car when it cut 1.22
rear spring rate is 125
I cant remember stroke.
Ordered from Menscer for my car. at 2" lower than factory ride height.

Last weekend I tried from 27.25" to 28" ride height in the rear.

Ive made a couple of bar adjustments on the lower arm with the same result.
2,4, and 7 degrees of upward angle which is nearly 110%, 125%, 140% anti squat. Likely off due to my math but ballpark.
It is a bmr extreme weld it. I cant remember the IC height off hand.
The weight of the car is generally within 5-10 pounds on the rear. But due to having my fat 235 pound *** in the car as well as a 50 pound intercooler to the car. it is always heavier on the front driver side.

Also I dont think Ive made it 25-30 feet in the past 14 passes. Without spinning.

Lower the torque arm down one hole on the front mount and set rear ride height 22.75" to 23.00".

“Ordered from Menscer for my car. at 2" lower than factory ride height.”
  • Are you running a 10” or 12” rear spring?
  • Are the shocks 5”,6”or 7” stroke?
  • Are you using the rubber upper shock bushings in the rear?

I made these upper shock mounts for the rear. rear suspension works much smoother.

Spring is 14" and stroke is I "believe" 7. May be mistaken.
Yes rubber upper. Same way they have been. I inspected them yesterday and all well and intact. The rear coilovers are the post style that go through the body. Extension settings are inside of the car.

Rear suspension settings are exactly where I had them when I was running 7.7/7.8 and wheeling.

Front has tighter valves for rebound and The limiters tight with 1.5" of travel.

Which yesterday I lengthend to 4" of travel.

I am hoping it will wheelie and I can inch my way back down.

Clearly after lowering the front, tighter shocks, and the limiters staying tight where I had them isnt doing well.
