Glad you got it working again! Hate to hear you may get rid of it but, you gotta go after what you want. I always want to drive mine on the street. A 25.5 car is to hard for that. Glad shes getting fixed tho!

Im at that very same crossroads. Im not sure what to do. I dont drive the car as often as I used to. I couldnt get a street race in if I paid for it where I live. Very little car people in my area. So the only real use I get out of it anymore is the track.
So we will see. Nothing is set it stone yet. I do know if I had a little more chassis work I could probably make the car work far better. Its really pretty basic.
I am right there with you as well. Can't turn mine up anymore with my 8.50 cage and not get kicked out. My track isn't as forgiving as yours seems to be unless I want to haul it 3 hours away to Canada. I only drive mine a half dozen times a month, but not sure I want to try and crawl around a 25.5 cage.
2 questions, is that a picture of your car with no quarter panel on it and if so WTF happened????

Yes. I am at a crossroads on what to do. The guy interested offered me a fair price. So if he takes it cool. If not cool.
Yes the 1/4 panel is off. From when I hit the wall. Finally getting it replaced.
Heck yea! He made me remove and install the panel for punishment and so he didnt have to charge me crazy money. But then he did his thing on the prep and paint. It looks great. Never even notice now.
Went to the track yesterday. First hit I spun a little and aborted. 2nd pass I loosened front extension a few clicks and came out hard. Probably would have been the best pass yet. Drove into a manageable wheelie. Then while in the air broke the input on the 1-2 shift. Next Time I swear Im doing something good. I had 3 more psi than I have ever ran in low gear.
Sucks the input broke, sounds like you were on a killer pass! Looks like you are getting it sorted out so hopefully she goes all the way down the track next time.
This is exactly why I love FTI Transmissions. They told me they are unsure how I broke this and I received it the next day for only paying upgraded shipping. Already have it back in and ready for some testing.
Just read the whole thread. Like a damn roller coaster of emotions going through all this. Thanks for sharing, and killer work man.
HAHA you called it. Ive had some pretty good moments and some not so good. 2018 was off to a great start. Ever since I hit the wall Ive been doing more repairs than enjoying. Starting to wear things out. Taking some of the joy out of it but I will work past it!
Thanks for taking the time to read it all. I know it is a lot but it means a lot to me. I spend 75% of my life doing this stuff.

You pushed through a lot of things that people would have said F *** it and bailed on it. I came from the Honda world too and had a turbo/nitrous integra. After going RWD there's no turning back. Congrats on the 7's man, and wheelies!
When you did the shop, did you do the construction of it yourself? And how do the heating elements install in the floor?

It has been a wild ride for the past few years for sure.
Yes I built the entire shop myself. A little help from a couple friends here and there. The floor heat is pex tubing. I should have an 4 but i only ran 2 seperate runs. It runs RV antifreeze through the tubes. It is an electric manifold that heats the fluid. Then a pump cycles it through the floor.

Very cool, i'll look more into it. Not that I need it in Texas, but curious about it.
