FWIW Bob talks to me and JS fairly regularly. His car will weigh in the 2800-2900 lbs raceweight range for sure....
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Not possible. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> Looking at my car that comes in at 3430 with me in it (I am 185). The car already has a lot of stuff removed to get down to that weight (seats, front bumper, etc).
If I were to remove all the interior/climate controls (120#), swap to a pin on hood (35#), remove the entire exhaust system/y (50#), go on a diet and lose 40#, power windows/abs/cruise/etc (another 30#), rear bumper support (15#), radio/speakers (10#), airbags (25#), PS/manual rack (30#) then somehow magically find another 70# to take off the car (maybe complete lexan windows) I'd still come in at a 3000# race weight.
I know JS wants to see Bob come in at some super low weight so he can have an excuse when Bob beats him at the track, but I don't see any of these cars going under 3000# with driver without a fiberglass hatch or something.

135 lbs, they make a fiberglass dash the looks stockish, weighs 4 lbs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Anyone making carbon fiber bodies yet?

Boy r u wrong Terry.
Bob is MY FRIEND and a GOOD FRIEND at that.I wish him the best with his project.I dont care if he beats me by 10 cars.
The guys asked a question and I answered it. Bob told me to my face the car would come in at 2800 to 2900 lbs but u have a point.Until he weighs it no one will actually know the weight.
Excuses,No man that aint my style.I built my car to run 10 Sec ets on motor.I believe I have a shot at that goal.Terry I find u very contradictive. Not too long ago u knocked me for running JPR heads, told me your LT1 JPR water pump didnt work for **** and made fun of me for gutting my car.Now you've totally changed your tune? How come all of a sudden u have this love and affection for the NJites.
Talk about a band wagon jumper.
U sure fit the bill.U constantly say to me I sold out but your the epitome of that statement.
The bottom line is,It took a set of S2X heads and a GIANT cam plus a much lighter car to beat my old setup that u said was ALL converter. If thats true then that sez alot for the MMS stuff on your car.And u dont want me tell u what that is?

Think we need JS vs Terry in the ring........

Sorry, back on topic now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

I must have a 'very' light car then. I have no jack/spare, front sway bar, and backseats. Running Sears Guardsman 165-15s on Weld 15x 3.5" on the front and 16x8 chromes with 11.5" et streets on the back, my car weighs in at 3420-3430 depending. Last time I weighed myself I weighed 177 lbs. Is your car caged? Bob's is not. Obviously neither is mine....
Bob wouldn't lie about his car's weight. Bob is a friend, he has been to my house before etc, neither of us have any reason to lie to the other....
Also, I think everyone knows Bob's car is going to be awefully fast, likely faster then JS's car. We don't compete against each other, we are all friends....
