That's only true if your not making the power or your not in your power band.. When you put in your new stall you want 0 (zero) spin because spinning ain't winning..

Well let me back up a little bit. I just checked my run notes and with Headers, ORY, Lid, LS6 intake, drag radials, skinnies in I went 13.3@107 with a 2.0 60's. A friend of mine was able to get the car to run 13.0 that day, he is about half my size. After adding just the stall and dropping the skinnies I went 12.85@106 with a 1.85 60' in June. I added a Chris1313 and UDP and went 12.46@108 with a 1.77 60's last November.

Finally got my new transmission and stall in today. Performabuilt recommends 50-100 miles of normal driving before slamming on it. I've got 21 miles so far... rain+4000 stall+ et streets don't mix! So I'll know soon what it can do. I did however give half the pedal and it lunged forward, so there's going to be a difference in et.

With Hooker 1 3/4 LTs, Hooker ORY, Hooker CB, Electric Cutout, LS6 Intake, Ported TB, SLP Lid, FTRA, UMI Relocation Brackets, UMI LCAs, UMI Adj PHB no tune, generic regular street tires on 16 inch Z28 wheels I ran the following:
12.87@107.7 with a 1.999 60ft. That was the best I could get before I added a cam.

Ran a 12.29 at 109 with a 1.70 60'. DA was 721 ft. So I shaved .6 second with the stall. Ran 17 psi on the tires. Pretty happy with 2.73 gears.

Every car I've ever had has gone 2.0 to high 1.9 on a stock stall.
1994 TransAm CAI, Borla
1999 TransAm, Lid Cutout
2000 TransAm Lid, LT's, Catted Y, Borla, Tuned
Never ran the '01 stock.
